Who needs a driving assistant? Only if someone is crippled

It won’t tell you to put your hands on the steering wheel as long as is lighted green, meaning you’re still on a federal highway. It will turn white when it is deactivated. It will shake if you also have the Lane Keep Assist on. This is one of the features I love about my Telluride, the fact that it has Autonomous Driving Level 2 as long as it driving on federal highways

Thanks for the video! Would you recommend Highway Driving Assist for someone who does a lot of roadtrips?

I like it a lot for that. It takes away from the fatigue, just remember some people will get frustrated with you as you'll never be following anyone closely. So that is a little annoying as you will get passed a lot, but you're mostly just sitting there without doing much.

It's adaptive cruise with the addition of AI driving capability. If you watch the video you can see the steering wheel icon on the dash turn green. That means it's on and working. With this system, there's a camera mounted at the top of the windshield that's looking at the lane markers along with information from the GPS map system. Only highways that have been loaded as highways will allow the system to turn on. As you can see in the video I have no hands on the wheel, the car is steering itself. On some roads HDA is not available, when that's the case it's standard Adaptive Cruise control no auto drive functions other than lane keep assist.
