I love your wife's angle of attacking issues.. we are two boys in the family.. my younger brother is yet to be married.. my parents in my view were fairly liberal and brought us up making us do all the home chores.. for context, Appa and Amma are from Chennai and we grew up in Bengaluru.. but only after my wife came into my life, I could see how much control my parents have on my life decisions.. and despite saying that wife is like a daughter to them, I can clearly see the differentiation in treatment.. similarly she has her preferences and prejudices.. but our parents have to learn basic negotiations with their kids and learn to let go..
