Telling Kick-Ass he isn't Spider-Man is a fitting irony. As we heard in Into The Spiderverse, "Spider-Man always gets back up". That is the entire premise of Kick-Ass, just some dorky guy with too much misplace optimism taking a stand against bad guys and getting knocked down, yet no matter how often he gets the ass kicked out of him he will always get back and try again. That's what a hero is, someone who doesn't give up trying to help others simply because they want too.

I’d love to see Mark react to this. This is so cool. Gives the exact vibe from the comics💯

Can I be honest I loved this because you guys added the things I wished were in the kickass movie mainly with he crazy lighting effects and the more edgy ness in this I love the edgy feel because there still room for some comedy and it works really well and I love the new suit and I love how you guys showed the old suit and it shows him upgrading into it I wonder what red mist or hit girl would look like in this film I bet they would look awesome from the looks of the awesome kickass suit keep up the great work I hope some company wants to make this into a actual tv series or movie

Spiderman lotus came out today. This short film had more heart, better acted and better shot than the whole two hour movie. And I’m only judging lotus so harshly is because the main guy got complimented by Jon watts, still talked about how Jon watts made a terrible movie with no way home and then claimed spiderman fans are finally gonna get a good spiderman film.

Very stoked to see this come to life, a follow up or prequel with Ol Reliable on display would be fire. Great work, team!

This needs more publicity. I really want to see another kick ass movie, I honestly forgot about the other two movies until now, I’ll be sure to talk about it this project, I really want to see what’s next

I saw the movie for the first time a few weeks ago. This short is excellent, I've rewatched it so much.

Over! The only bad thing in this movie is that it’s over! Everything was so perfect, to the last bit, and I know people are gonna complain about stuff like the sound in the opening scene, or the camera work, but it’s completely fitting, not only it’s a pretty good job considering it’s just a team of a few dozens of people, but it’s fitting because that’s how Kick-Ass feels. This movie, it was absolutely stunning, the suit, the ambience, music, it feels so unprofessional, but that’s what make it good, it’s a project for fans, made by fans, and they might not be perfect, but they try and do really good. At the beginning we see Dave and Todd complaining and we see Kick-Ass thrashed and beaten up, that’s exactly how he feels, as the sound, dirty, messy but at the same time, steady, because he won’t back up as a Vigilante, it doesn’t matter how hard he gets hit, how far away he gets pushed or even how humiliated he gets, he will keep going with or without difficulties. The editing can be a bit messy in fight scenes, but it’s also fitting, we’re not seeing an expert trained Vigilante like in Kick-Ass 2, we’re watching a young Kick-Ass, surely with just a few months or a year at most as a Vigilante, he’s uncomfortable, he’s messy and he doesn’t really know what he’s doing, he’s just trying to do a good thing with good intentions. It’s so chaotic and messy that as an audience we are uncomfortable, because we share a feeling with Dave, he’s been beaten up, stabbed and ridiculed. This was absolutely amazing, I cannot find any flaws with it, might not be perfect because, yeah, it’s just a project made by a really small group of people, but it has love put into it, and you can really tell, I love it’s awkward ambience, with good music and illumination, I really look forward for more of your projects and even more if you have in mind to do more Kick-Ass/comic related stuff.

Cool Jokes to Star Wars, Batman and Mortal Kombat

I mean, okay… it's decent. However, it's not really a reboot. It seems more like this is happening sometime between the first movie and the second one. For one thing, the 'old' suit is full of holes, so he's clearly used it a lot already. Also, even the pizza deliverer knows who Kickass is, so he's not just starting out. I like how Kickass' fringe comes through the mask, which seems closer to the comics than the image he has in the movies. The smoke bomb works well. I kinda wonder at the ending though. I mean, drug-dealers would have guns… "You gotta carry weapons 'cause you always carry cash." That's established. That aside, if Kickass doesn't win in that encounter and there's no one to rescue him, there's no way those drug dealers would let him off with just a kicking… he'd have been knifed and left for dead… another time, I'd like to see him win… or have another 'hero' come in to help out… or just end it with the kicking and you don't necessarily show him limping away. Anyway, okay, Hollywood an that, but that's my feedback. I think when it comes to short fan-films, I'd quite like to see Kickass interacting with other 'Justice Forever' heroes like Dr. Gravity, Insect Man or even the Juicer and so on… exploring undeveloped characters could yield big rewards story-wise. Also, once you have the costumes, it could mainly be dialogue-driven.… or maybe a bit of sparring. That's gonna save on the SFX budget quite a bit I guess.
