This episode we install and review a 12V Dual Battery Charging Hub from KICKASS called the MINI POWER BOX into the rear of the Pajero to finish of our 12V Dual Battery setup with some honest thoughts.

Looks like a gr8 bit of gear…. Trying to sort my 12v setup out…. What a nightmare. IMO I would be concerned about the cables being pinched under the trim wearing through over time. Would probs reroute … gr8 info 🍻🤙

Yeah I agree with you, it's not ideal in the longterm. After a couple of camping runs think I'll tidy it up a bit as I had the same thoughts 👍

How hard is it to get to the fuses if 1 blows?

I have been looking for a video for ages of someone installing one of these in a Pajero I’m glad I found one. One question I do have is have you run a compressor off it at all?

Hi mate, I tried running a compressor off it once but the agm battery didn't like it 😕 stoked you found us, bloody paj has been brilliant!

Great video mate and muchly appreciated. I have a new car with a removable false floor to house my fridge slide and Engel battery box which has 1 Anderson. If I plus the 12v power box into the battery box and solar panel>invertor> 12v power box will that also charge my battery in my battery box?

Thanks for posting the video, looking to setup my own 12v system with the same kit! Can you connect the control hub directly to the battery or do you need a fuse between them? Kickass do stock an anderson to M8 adapter with an inline fuse but not sure if it's required. Interested to hear how yours was connected!

Hi David, it connected directly to the battery via the Anderson plug that is supplied. The box itself has each socket individually fused. Super easy, just plug it in and and you are good to go 👍

Love the vid thanks mate, I am currently looking at this for my hilux! Can I plz ask what type of wire you used from the Kickass Ando power plug to your battery?

Hi Paul, awesome feedback thank you 🍺 it came with the kickass battery kit. (heavy duty twin core 8 b&s) tried to add the link but didn't work but on the Kickass website 👍

Great thanks will do, I need to run mine from the back tray under the car to the front dual battery so wasn’t sure if a long cable was supplied with it thanks
