Here in my country there are some of these key master games in the malls.. Back in the day when they got pretty popular there was always a guy nearby the machine, employed by the machine owner, his only job was to keep an eye out for any player that seemed to have the game figured out... I knew of a couple dudes that were literally banned from playing at the machines after winning a couple times... It is actually not hard to figure out when the prizes are ripe... You just need to scout the machine for a while and do some calculation of when the prizes are getting to the payout limit.. Then get ready with some 50 - 100 bucks to have your shot at some big prize... It might take you two or three tries in different days... But still getting an iPhone 12 for 200-300 bucks is a pretty good deal.. I'd guess these guards were told to keep an eye out for these guys and used the recording as an excuse to not outright say they were not welcome to play at this game anymore...

Just some advice... figure out a way to hide your camera while recording. Assuming you live in the US, you have the right to record video/audio in public so long as other people dont have a reasonable expectation of privacy. However, a mall/business that is privately owned is allowed to restrict recordings and anything else they wish. If no signs are posted but security tells you about it, then you must stop or the police can be called and you can be charged with trespassing cus you're not following the owner's rules.

That’s somewhat correct, except that trespass isn’t a criminal matter, so police would only get involved if you’re causing a breach of the peace. Which is why you should not engage with them, so they can’t twist things to get you removed.

Those security are just thugs. In future just continue as you are. Engaging with them just gives them satisfaction. Even if they ask you to leave, it’s a civil matter, so you can’t be arrested or removed by cops.

Mall is private property and the mall can say no recording like Walmart or other places. The only public property is parks or run by the government. You must get consent from the other person to record. Google is a very helpful place

That place is not a private property, it is a public property with an entertainment like that. A public property where in, that machine receive many bucks from different people! It is just a private property, in a sense that someone owns it, a developer or a solo proprietorship, which is available for public use, where in there is no such warning or sign that recording video is not allowed. These men are just big and all muscles...

As a guard myself ya cant do that..one unprofessional..yes observe and report however based off that belt in order to utalize handcuffs you must be certified and documented on paper to DOJ or BSIS inorder to wear use cuffs. Well depends on where you are state wise…second of all officer or guard are separate identities do to types of equipment uses and job details…assault-threaten to do something..battery-making actual contact..no lawsuits can be made so if they say that no it cant be filed..private property yes..but open to the public..the owner has to abide by all regulations other wise they could not use the mall or business establishment to set up a machine or shop..if the property owner does not handle situation accordingly then a lawsuit can be filed…if anyone has questions about the field or incidents they have encountered let me know; i hate ppl who act this way when it’s unnecessary

i mean, there are places youre not allowed to record, so they have the right to ask you to stop recording, and they also have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason and ask you to leave, but unless your demeanor is threatening or youre trying to escape with stolen property, they are not allowed to physically touch you in any way shape or form. They are required to call the actual police. if you called a lawyer or even a pro bono lawyer youd see a pretty penny. More if you claim that it left a lasting fear impact of being touched by strangers lol
