Sometimes I wish I could draw during times like school or church because it honestly helps me concentrate better. Then once i see that drawing again, it will remind me of what I was learning about at the time.

when we had math class, i was inking an anime drawing that i made it at home, and my friend would hit me on my hand to give me sign that the teacher was behind me, but i didn't pay attention, so the teacher took my drawing notebook and threw it in the trash, i wanted to yeli at the teacher, but my dignity prevented me from doing, so i silenced my voice and movement sorry for my bad english spell bc i am arabic

i once did the same thing and got into trouble lol

I got in trouble for drawing, once I stopped drawing, I would fall into either heavy dissociation or daydreaming where I got nothing done at all, I was so bored that I needed to do something while learning. Some teachers enjoyed my art, I did much better in class with these teachers. At another school, a teacher made an underhanded comment about me wasting paper, I found this ridiculous because those same drawings were saved until my adulthood while all of the math, history and other notes were destroyed, never to be used again, like they only existed to make it through my final exam and had zero use other than that. The only skill I have really made use of outside of school, is my art and whatever I learned on my own time. School was a major waste of my personal time, but then again I was also living in a small rural village with poor funding, I try not to take it personally, but that's hard to do. One teacher would call my art lazy during art class, she would single me out negatively while completely ignoring that the other kids were just copying one another as they tend to do at such a young age, she hated me so much that she wouldn't even let me keep my art and made me throw it in the garbage while the others could take theirs home. She almost made me hate the only thing that I loved, thankfully we got a different teacher who undid a lot of the psychological damage. I wish those teachers could see me today, they'd swallow their words because I've improved over the years. Don't let people who don't appreciate your out of the box talent destroy what you love, chances are that whatever you're insanely interested in and good at will be incorporated into your adult career in one way or another, and not the social programming that they try to force into your head. Focus on the teachers who want to grow your natural abilities instead of destroying what makes you unique and amazing. BE YOU.
