Can someone explain the point of building your car like this ? There's nothing left to beat up, you're chances of flipping each other is through the roof.. it doesn't look very fun.

Decent heat. Only issue I hate with these semi-mod classes is the cars take FOREVER to die out. 30 mins is a long time for someone to sit in the stands and watch a derby without getting kind of bored and the "ok can we please end it already mentality". Kind of got that vibe myself about 18 minutes in cause these guys really kind of stopped trying to hit each other when it was down to the final 3 and that is where they become way too focused on $$$ and placing.

Same here, after 15-20 minutes of most derbies, the pace normally starts to slow and is not very entertaining. When they hit hard and take no damage is not entertaining either!

What is 'kicker class'? I'm in Wisconsin we have stock, and ' pro weld classes' curious what kicker means.. looks like our weld cars but with the backs cut down

Kicker cars and weld cars are basically the same style build. "Kickers" are bars welded from the cage to the front and back of the frame basically keeping the car from bending.

Can someone please post the rules for these derbies. I am from southern indiana and the drivers door is off limits and I see plenty of driver door hits here in these derbies

The more built the cars are the better the driver is protected. In most drivers meetings they say if you use your drivers door as a shield and get hit in door its your fault. So It depends what is allowed by the officials and whether intentional by the hitter or not.
