Kid gets hit in the face by swing

Swing wins! (First of all, she didn't have any lasting injuries from mishap). My 5 year is fairly uncoordinated. I love her, but she is always falling, or getting hurt. I guess trying to jump off a swing isn't in her repertoire. She missed the first fly by of the swing but looked up at the wrong time. She has not stood on a swing since. She learned her lesson the hard way. Ouch!

Tough for a parent to watch I'm sure, but I think it really is moments like this that truly prepare you for real life when growing up. Success without the risk of failure is nothing. They are also more interesting looking back at as an adult too. No one remembers the 2nd time they climbed a tree successfully, but they remember the falls.

One time when I was 11 I was playing on a teeter totter sideways like a fool. I fell off and the teeter totter hit one of my fingers very hard. I also got pebbles in the skin. I didn’t cry but that crap hurt. The good news was my finger wasn’t broken.
