I just recently beat this game for the first time and I must say that it certainly is interesting. It honestly might be my favorite NES game. I don't know, something about the secret skill points you need to manage, all of the other RPG-esque elements, and the sense of progression you get from getting stronger, I have no idea why but its just extremely satisfying to me for some reason. This game honestly got better for me once I understood what everything did, and I've just been mesmerized by it for the past few days. I know this is a weird little tangent but I just wanted to get it out there, this game is really cool.

Pretty chill game, that doesn't look so hard (then I remember struggling just getting out of the first level).

i finished 2 times. does anyone know, how many times you need to end, until "the end" ? i mean, is there a end, or will pit always keep struggeling?

too much time collecting hearts when you're maxed at 999

I was grinding for 200000 points to get the best ending. I collected hearts even when maxed out because it makes the next set of enemies spawn faster. But feel free to do it faster yourself, since you think I took too much time.
