@silverikob7 ok first of all The Crow and The Crow City of Angels weren't directed by the same person, The original was directed by Alex Proyas City of Angels was directed by Tim Pope. Of course Alex Proyas is gonna say the remake looks bad because he's biased he's made the original, The remake looks different but that doesn't mean it looks bad. I think apart from the tattoos it looks BAD ASS Director Rupert Sanders had this to say “‘The Crow’ is the original anti-superhero,” Sanders said in a newly released statement. “His story is about tragic loss, about dealing with the pain of everything that comes with losing someone you love, something that all of us have or will encounter at some point in our lives. Well thats just Alex Proyas giving his opinion. In the end the Edward R Pressman company owns the movie rights to this franchise and can and do make stuff based on it and have for years. Where is Proyas hate over that? This isnt a remake of the film Lee did. This is an adaptation of the original graphic novel both films are based on. Its telling its own version of the Obarr story. And in some cases its more accurately telling the story. Like Erics drug issues that were left out of the first movie. I could see Proyas being pissed if they did a scene for scene remake of the first film. But he knows thats not what they did here. thankfully his opinion means very little to me as a movie goer and likely the same applies to the movie going public

It's an "adaptation" of the comic, not a goddamn remake of the '94 film as that movie was also just an adaptation. Even that movie wasn't entirely comic accurate.

I think you guys don't understand the difference between the terms "original" and "adaptation". The original wasn't comic accurate either, so there goes that. It's just a damn movie. Quit obsessing over it.
