@@communistdoggo6792 Too be honest, between Avi and Geoff, Geoff can hit some seriously low notes but Avi can also hit some low notes which makes them both equally good bass singers, and the thing is, I completely agree with Aaron Hale about the fact Pentatonix would be holiday and Voiceplay being Halloween as they have both done similar amounts of songs on these types of holiday songs.

Geoff's sneaky wink when he mentions Oogie Boogie.. Layne nearly falling off the chair at the end, TONY as Oogie Boogie... I love the little details in this! Poor Eli even shed blood in the making of this video, this better gets properly appreciated by a million people!! xD But I honestly wanna mostly applaud the character voices they sang throughout this whole video, so on point, Rachel did so so amazing, it seems so hard to do. And what the hell sound did once again green-colored Geoff do there??! In conclusion VoicePlay feat. Halloween songs is the best thing in the musical universe, we were truly blessed this month!! Okay y'all are sleeping on Eli's tone at 2:56 ... literally he could sing anything and I'd melt in a puddle. Although I didn't melt, my jaw just dropped doe about 5 seconds solid. I'm such a huge fan, and every video you put out proves me right. @@Bleep. subharmonic is some kind of that you sing one tone and ad an subharmonic tone one octave under this... e.g. sing d2 and ad some kind of a vocal fry to d1... thats why you sing actually always octaves in subharmonics

I mean, the fact Geoff is just completely out of this world is so obvious it probably doesn´t even need to be said. But I really love how this one showcases everyone else... especially Layne. I /know/ he´s the reason I forget these pieces are acapella most of the time, but that´s not really the same. Here he gets to really shine and boy, does he deserve that.

This really lifted my spirits (pardon the expression)! And I needed it. It’s so fun but still got that creepy vibe, and each singer does their part perfectly, that one note Eli hit, good grief! And I loved how Geoff kinda leaned back and looked nervous when Oogie Boogie showed up on screen! “Me? Play you? Why no, why do you ask?”

2:57 is one of the best full chords from any Acapella song I’ve ever heard! Geoff with the F#1 and F1, Eli with the chest F5, and J none and Rachel on the higher harmonies just gives my chills down my spine every time listening to it!

@@scraggyboi idk the power and tone that it has doesn’t really sound like falsetto to me, plus the way he looks in the music video he almost looks like he’s kinda clenching up to get the high note out, but he’s a really good tenor so if it was falsetto I’m guessing he wouldn’t have much trouble with it. Idk he’s chested up to an E5 before so it wouldn’t surprise me if he worked his way up to an F5 by now, but that’s just my guess. There is an A5 above it, but it’s Rachel singing it

This one is up there with some of my all time favorites of theirs! Normally Geoff's contribution to the music is low enough that it takes me a couple of listens to catch everything, if I even can XD I love how much more present it is, and how it seems to bounce around as much as Layne's for this song. Love Rachel's voice here, how creepy she makes it for her character. J and Eli both awesome, I esp loved Eli's pout after the "Make me!" line XD They bring so much life to the characters! Also loved how animated Layne felt through the snatches we see of him, it just added to the fun/creepy vibe of the song.

Oh I was soooo bummed out that I missed the premiere. I was planning to watch & got caught up in work - stupid audit! I loved this video so much; I watched it like 5 or 6 times in pre-release and each time I pick up something new. I really want that tiny Geoff/Mr. Hyde in a stuffed toy version - like the old Furrbies I think they were called. Everyone did such a wonderful job on this as always. I honestly don't know how Eli, Rachel & J didn't pass out from lack of breath the tempo was so fast and Layne almost falling off his chair at the end makes me laugh every time. Not sure if that was accidental but if it was good call on not editing it out! And as always, Geoff....just sigh, I'm a puddle again.😉 😍

Everyone seems to have really insightful comments. For me, other than stating the obvious (I LOVE this cover) I can only add that I really enjoyed those gestures everybody made, especially around 2:38 when they sing "beat him with a stick". It's a lot of fun to watch and I hope it was a lot of fun to sing/act too!
