I was three when my sister was born. I remember being quite indifferent to the actual baby, and instead I clearly recall taking the ‘It’s a Girl!’ balloon in the corner and being forced to sit still for a photo with us all while being bribed with a toy tiara.

a few days ago, when I was at my therapist with my father, he told me a story from when I was just 2 years old. So basically we were in a bakery and I got a milkbread and some kid behind us started crying because she wanted that one too, so I went up to her broke my bread in half and gave her the other half. It's really funny hearing that and now knowing now that I'm 13 years older that I never really changed much (even tho some other people took it to their advantage that I always share(d) my things with them).

I couldn't help but smile and laugh when Kassie was talking about sibling jealousy. All I could think about was how my brother always talks about how excited he was to have a younger sibling like me that he could play with. We were really close growing up, and while now we aren't as close purely due to how busy our lives are, we're still super close.

Sibling jealousy is so funny to me, I remember earlier this year when my new cousin was born, his sister (which is 2) went over to my grandma's house crying when my aunt was giving birth. She wouldn't talk to her parents for like a whole month, now she's the sweetest older sister :)

When they played Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” by the kid being hit with a basketball.. I laughed so hard. As someone who loves that song and loves that video at the same time, that was gold.

when i first met my younger sister i was so disappointed because she wasnt a dinosaur. i went home and legitimately cried about it. i was also a bit upset about my dad leaving again with the military but that wasnt why i was upset
