Quarantining may be a 2020 thing for most of us, but for any family that has fought #ChildhoodCancer it is OLD NEWS. Isolation, strict hygiene habits, and wearing masks are all part of the daily routine of immunocompromised kids across the world as they journey through #chemotherapy #radiotherapy and #surgery. At this point, we all know that separation is hard on a child. Just like us during #COVID19, a child with cancer has to change the way they interact with their world. This social, physical, and emotional separation can lead to sadness at the "new normal" and fear of returning to "normal" interactions when treatment is complete. Most of us are frustrated about #coronavirus and #quarantine. Since I can't wave my PT Dan hands and make it go away, I want to invite you to SHARE this video with friends and family who may not be aware of the precautions you or your child have endured during cancer treatment! Sometimes a chance to #understand can be a very healthy thing!
