Visiting Sapporo and Hokkaido in general during winter should definitely be high on your Japan travel bucket list. Such a wonderful place for solo, and as you can see on this vlog, for families with kids. Just make sure you pack proper attires and protection. The cold temperatures can get pretty intense, and walking around needs a lot of caution.

My last trip to Sapporo was Feb 2020 just before Covid lockdown… I got into a ski accident and fracture my jaw.. Sapporo Hospital doctors were very good…though it was an unfortunate accident but it didn’t damper my spirit and still had an exciting adventure and was able to enjoy the snow festival

What a lovely trip! Hokkaido is amazing, you can enjoy such good food and nature (it feels a bit nordic with a lot of birch trees! カバノキ多いね). Sutan looks like she had an amazing time playing in the snow haha ☃ Thanks Iriyama-san for the lovely introductions to the hotels! Im going to Kanazawa tomorrow but MitsuiGarden Hotel was fully booked this time haha

Aw man.. the timing. My wife and i just cut Hokkaido out of our upcoming Japan trip due to logistics and decided to do Kansai instead which is where she went to school.... I went to University in Hokkaido so it makes me feel like i wont get to see my other home again. Ill enjoy Hokkaido vicariously through your video. :)

Our climate is pretty similar to that of Hokkaido. Last night, we had -15 °C. And we don't have hot springs! 🥶 (But we do have Finnish saunas instead.... 2,7 million of them. That's about one for every two Finns.) If you visit Finland some time, I recommend July for Southern Finland (most beautiful summer with the most delicious strawberries of the world), or December for Santa's Village in Rovaniemi, or early September for Northern Finland and Lapland (incredible colors of autumn leaves).

Amazing thank you! I’ve been to many places in Japan , but would love to explore more northern like Hokkaido! I’m a keen skier so it’s on my list to do when I come back! Just very expensive to travel and holiday there from the U.K. - 2 months was not enough to cover all the places I wanted to see and do when I went there last summer! Even the bullet trains, though it saved some time, still meant a lot of holiday days turn into travel days zipping about the country. Such a gorgeous country, the food is seriously sublime 😍 ❤❤❤

Thank you for the video. So much family time and cuteness... The kids room looked great. When Sutan petted the dog on the wall, that was so cute. I'm glad Sutan enjoyed it. I wonder if Sutan would let me carry her on my shoulders too? Don't know if I can do that all that long, but it would be cute. I like to see Moto's drawings. He's pretty good. (I couldn't see what I painted on the window, due to the light this time) Moe snacking on everything and commenting for the viewers is always entertaining.
