What's sad is, this actually happened at a day care center I worked at, many years ago. I'm glad I left the place before hand. It wound up getting shut down. All because the were too understaffed to properly take care of all the children they took in.

This happened to me once. When I was in daycare I was always the quiet one in class, who never spoke unless spoken to. The other kids were mean to me because I was SPECIAL and they thought it meant I was dumb. The owner was mean to some of the kids including me. Sometimes when it was nice out, she would only let the nice kids go out and play. One day when I was 4 I was happy because it was my birthday and my mom packed a slice of cake in my lunch. Before I could eat it, I went to the bathroom. When I got back, I saw the owner chowing down on my cake. While the kids went out to play, I sort of confronted her and started crying and yelling "Give me my cake" over and over. Then she slapped me in the back and I started "Ugly crying" as she put it. Then she grabbed me by my wrist and locked me in the bad boy closet. I was all mad and pouty so I waited in there until my mom picked me up in a few minutes. Accept minutes turned into hours. I was so bored, had nothing to do and nobody came to get me yet. That moment made me think of Toy Story 2 when Jesse was in storage. I felt like nobody wanted me. No one accept my buzz Lightyear action figure. Eventually I started getting sleepy and hungry. Then at around 10 at night, I was woken up by a door slamming open. My baby brain thought Buzz called for help. So I pressed his button that said "Buzz light-year to star command. Come in star command." Over and over until someone opened the door. It was a cop and he looked happy to see me. So happy that he called for backup to help me. Then he carried me back outside saying "Don't worry kid, a wonderful person called us and said you needed help. I see Buzz was keeping you safe until then." I was carried outside to the parking lot and I was blinded by a whole bunch of lights from police cars. Then I saw my family crying about something. So the cop brought me to them and they were so happy to see me safe and sound. Then a cop came walking over to us saying "I found his backpack in the trash out back. How did it get there?" Then I saw my teacher walking away so I said "Hey teacher, where's my cake?" then she started running to her car. Then the cop who found me ran over to her and handcuffed her to the flag pole. Then I found out that she got arrested for leaving me alone. Then we got a new teacher. A responsible Lady with a heart of gold like Ms.Honey from Matilda. 21 years since that day and me and her still talk to each other. Regularly This lady should have been arrested for abandoning the kids. That's heartless and heartbreaking

@@immunecookie0179 she did, then my parents put me in kindergarten. After that, I got a super cool babysitter named Vanessa. She was the greatest babysitter ever. She was really big into Renaissance fairs and stuff. The Renaissance fairs were the only times we see each other because she works a lot. A couple of years later, now me and her are coworkers at a hospital. She's a doctor now and I'm a cook. She is super jealous because of how good my food is.

Oh no, Miss Karen should have never been let off the hook like that. He should have called the police and the television station...and filmed his children on the other side trying to get out. The police would have come to break the door open and generate a report themselves. Letting her off the hook means she'll have opportunities to do this to more children. You should never take matters like this into your own hands. Her school would have been shut down.

This actually happened with a mom and her daughter. This is super scary and that's why I don't have my daughter in a day care. Not that it happened to me, but I had a bad experience with a day care and my daughter. Poor babies

These kids are cute and adorable. I can picture Garfield Wedderburn as their uncle in a future Soul snack episode. I miss Florencia Barletta on Soul Snack- she would play the kids' aunt. The kids would be Capt. Porter's children, being watched by their aunt and uncle. Tracey Eman would play the busybody Karen, who snatches their frisbee for no reason, only to get confronted by Sheriff Johnston. The Sheriff returns the kids' frisbee to them, as the kids' uncle lets them know lunch is ready. The girl hands the frisbee to her aunt, then joins her brother and uncle for lunch. Sheriff Johnston warns the Karen if he catches her rousting the kids or other kids in the park, he's going to take her downtown to answer for her actions!!!

There’s this daycare in my husband’s home city that we won’t take out kids to. When we was fostering our nephew they were mean to him and he had bruises on him.

First, despite the risk, he should have called the police to let them know that his kids were still in the daycare. Secondly, I’d definitely report this place and find another Center, which is much easier said than done. I’ve been there. I was a working single mother. Finding good childcare was a living nightmare, and higher rates didn’t necessarily translate into a safe, nurturing environment.

Omg this happened with me when i was younger i went to this ladys daycare and she left me and my 1 yr old sister (at the time) in the car while she went out drinking. My parents took her to court and she lost her babysitting licence or smth it was rlly bad

This made me mad even though it was only an example of what happens sometimes. My two daughters went to daycare and I didn’t want them too. The cost is too much and they don’t treat your kids like you do. All in all protect your kids.

Omg - Yep - I did hear about a woman that left her 3 kids with a sitter. She arrived home and the sitter was in the living room and the 3 kids were in the kitchen with a knife. I used to watch kids and worked at a day care center. One example of people that shouldn't be watching children. I also kept an eye out for the children safety that I was watching!

The truth is, things can be misleading, even the nicest things can be misleading and the truth is sad. I am pretty sure this women was scamming lots of parents to believe there children were in good hands but really she was not doing good things to them and who is to say she isn’t abusing them. Thanks soulsnack for making such great videos!

I never put my kids in daycare as I was a stay at home mom. He just dropped them off like a library book

You're fortunate to stay home. Not all mothers can and the ones having to work, not all have a baby-sitter or hack-up babysitter. This man here may have been a single dad. If he did not work, people would complain about being home and on assistance just to avoid daycare when not all daycares are bad.

You can never truly strangers looking after your kids nowadays even at a daycare. If you have trusted family or a friend who's willing to look after your kids as knows them well it's usually better to do it that way.😮
