These kids are SO brave for trying the acupuncture themselves knowing full well they’re about to get a needle in em! I totally understand for those who afraid of the needle (as I have some friend are) but you won't feel hurt at all but at the same time you still feel the needle go inside your body. having some ant or mosquito bite you have more pain than this.

Samantha Pratt, acupuncturists have a LOT of training. The possibility of that is very slim.And as I say, the needle is tiny. I never had so much as a bruise. It's also solid-there would be no where for the blood to go even if it were directly in a large vein.

@@GoProskyla Yeah, just stop listening mid-sentence and take it out of context to go against the rest of what she's said. And there's been documentation on it for over four thousand years. This is a short video to present acupuncture to children, not a in-length scientific documentary on energy, but there's tonnes of these if you want too. And she did say she's a licensed doctor too. Don't be so close-minded. At least watch the whole video and use your heart and brain and educate yourself instead of ignoring whatever doesn't suit your brainwashed limited beliefs.

From what I understand, acupuncture stimulates blood flow to specific areas to accelerate the body's natural healing processes. And if you're down with the idea of reflexology, and similar concepts that are based on various parts of the body being interrelated, then you could say that requires NRG...

Dismissing what you don't understand as if you know all about it is utterly ignorant and close-minded, it's something that's been a thing since the beginning of time and is one of the basics of science as well as everything else because EVERYTHING is energy, thoughts, actions, solid things, not solid things, EVERYTHING. So it's utterly important. And thankfully, more people are starting to learn about it. As you should.

Its not metaphysicics, its science. Its similar to studying chemistry. Youre learning about atoms, protons, neutrons, all of which you CANNOT see, but you're taught that they're real and present in all things. Energy exists and for some reason humans believe that it does in all things EXCEPT the human body. When you go into cardiac arrest and a defibrilator is used to "jumpstart" the heart - what do you think is happening? Energy is being ZAPPED into the body to restart its battery. I think she did a great job explaining - in laymans terms - hw acupuncture works. BTW - I'm an Acupuncturist :)

My doctor thinks it's great. It resolved chronic pain in my hand and arm after a car accident. All the regular doctors offered was pain medication.

A mind so open that your brains fall out... Extreme intellectual rigidity is a problem, sure. But (even more)so is being open to everything. So if they had a holocaust denier on, without anyone correcting their lies, should people "grow up" and just let denial of reality stand? What about a scientologist telling them about how we're possessed by Xeno and should come and see one of their churches (where they will gradually spend all their money, just as they'll do with faith healers, fortune tellers, and acupuncturists)? Would that be open-minded? We use our rational faculties to devise objective methods to find out what's true and false. What works and what doesn't. There's nothing to be gained from uncritical exposure to pseudo-science.

The "energy" they refer to is called Chi. And it hasn't been proven to exist. These are all based on ancient beliefs before science came along and explained these things better.

I'm a psychiatry resident and we see so many people who go to crooks first before they give up and eventually come to us. They stigmatize mental illnesses, but think this BS is cool and dandy!

Have the kids met a social worker?? If not they should! Lots of people think social workers just take kids away or give out money but I think that more people should know what we do!! So much is done by social workers!
