The way he chose to answer the question was so heartwarming- instead of saying he passed away or why he died, he knew exactly how to word it when talking about it to a child and instead went with “he’s not well.” Even for someone like me who doesn’t really follow their music much at all, that definitely got me…

A better translation than the one in the video would be "he was unwell health-wise", that whole exchange made me absolutely bawl, I think minho put what happened in the best way he could. Looking back at everything is always bittersweet but SHINee was 5 and always will be 5.

초5때부터 샤이니 노래들었고 그리고 6학년때 링딩동 컴백하는날 다음날 반친구들끼리 샤이니 진짜 중독성 강한노래 들고나왔다 해서 이야기 하고 그랬는데 벌써 시간이 이렇게 흘렀구나 ㅠㅠ 그리고 민호님이 한명없다고 이야기했을때 아이에게 그냥 몸이아파서 나갔다고 돌려 말했는것을 들었을때 굉장히 맘이 아팠음 종현님 진짜 노래도 잘하고 작사 작곡도 잘했는데 군생활할때 갑자기 사지방에서 종현 사망이라는 뉴스 봤을때 깜짝 놀란기억이 아직도 가시지 않는다 ㅠㅠ 종현님 항상 기억하고 있을게요

허어.. 한때 엄청난 인기를 누렸던 아이돌이였는데.. 이제 요즘 애들은 모르는 아이돌이 되었다는 게 충격적이다.. 내가 나이가 많이 들었다는 것도 체감되고.. 지금 보니 다들 앳되고 힘든 시기였을텐데 엄청난 멘탈과 노력으로 극복해낸 게 멋있네.. 샤이니 오빠들, 한때 제 초등학생 시절 삶의 낙이였어요. 좋은 노래들 불러주셔서 감사합니다. 앞으로도 행복한 일만 있으시길

yes, and the kids' point of view here in sk, those who are leaving the group was involved in scandals or whatever so they see them as bad person, you see? the girl asked if he left the group and she was relieved that that's not the case, ofc, they don't have much knowledge regarding the issues surrounding the celebrities and it's not like it's time for parents to explain to them everything, those are only what kids heard

이제 종현이 이야기할 때 어느정도 눈물 참을 수 있다고, 웃으면서 떠올릴수 있다고 생각했는데 민호 입에서 종현이 이름 듣는 순간 오열해버렸다.... 아무렇지 않은 척하며 말하기까지 샤이니는 얼마나 마음이 무너져내리고 아팠을지 짐작도 안되서 눈물이 나버렸다. 타팬인 나도 이 정도인데 샤월분들은 더 하겠지. 진짜 너무 보고싶다 김종현.

I am in SHAMBLES. He answered in such a good way for a child to understand. And those of us who are old enough to grasp it, felt how that hurt. To be honest, I love Shinee very much. They’re one of my first favorite groups but it hurts too much to listen a lot. I listen in a very bittersweet way.

샤월이였을 때 최애였던 종현이가 잠시 쉬게 된 후로부터 샤이니를 의도적으로 피하게 된 일인으로서(보면 눈물이 안 끊겨서;;) 가끔씩 우연히 관련영상을 돌려보게 될 때면 피하고 싶다가도 보게 되고 막상 보고나면 또 펑펑 울고...이 영상은 여러번 들러보게 되는데 볼 때마다 민호가 돌려말할 때 눈물이 터지면서도 한켠으로는 따스한 감정이 들고...하지만 데리러 가는 여전히 온전히 듣지 못하는 한 곡이고...아 진짜 모순되는 심리네...

He really had that sad look on his face, of course they miss him, but I love how he pronounces his name even with joy and pride. And the way he explains why 'Uncle Jonghyun' wasn't there is priceless, with so much respect. Like I said, they really miss him, but they continue to make it amazing even without him (a really important part of the group)

The kid with key was so cute. The girl with minho was not impressed in the beginning but as the discography revealed more she was clapping and she liked it. 제 세대보단 조금 앞이지만 오빠가 있어서 샤이니 무대도 그렇고 많이 봤었는데 그 당시에는 이런 일이 있구나 했는데 크면서 보니 얼마나 큰 일이고 모두가 슬펐을지 상상이 안되네...항상 팬사랑 최고에 언제나 진심으로 열심히하던 샤이니이기에 아직도 활동하는 것 같고 너무 좋은 노래를 많이 들려줘서 고맙고 항상 응원하고 사랑해 샤이니😊🫶🏻🩵
