Mr. Nimo, you are such a great Dad, like nobody will ever send their children to the government school after moving from Abroad to Ghana, especially from the UK. No, I'm being real here 😳 tell me I'm lying

I understand him ,government schools is not that bad we all went to government school from the scratch..There they will learn the local language fast... THE MOST INTELLIGENT 🧠 STUDENTS ARE FROM THE GOVERNMENT SCHOOLs , why is it that at the secondary level the government schools are the best compared to the private ones...???

I was a bit worried that your children might find it difficult to adjust but no longer. How lovely to see how happy Alicia and Lydia are. I wish them joy and success and all the best for the whole family! By the way the prayer you said, Alicia, is the “Lord‘s Prayer” that people pray all over the world. There is a version of it in nearly every language. And “obroni” is not an offence or expression of dislike - I’d be called obroni if I came to visit you in Ghana one day too.

Thanks Andy! Yes they’ve really adapted very well considering five of them have not been to Ghana before. Yes she knew about Obroni, but she got overwhelmed with the number of kids following her with Obroni Obroni lol. Same with her class. It made her feel uncomfortable.

Well done Sir, that was a bold step bringing your children back home.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Raise them in the fear of the Lord and expose them to our treasured values as Africans eg. our well knitted family system. Smart move once again especially in this age and time where the West is indoctrinating the next generation with strange values and ethics, defiling the whole social and moral fibre of humanity🙏🏾You have our blessings and “muscle” to ensure this move is successful…kudos!!!

Oh my Alicia you are looking great in your uniform. You will have great time and fun in the school. You will learn a lot and will have such a great experience. In England the school our children goes to is a public school. I know how you feel girls, the toilet facilities are not great.I hope the head teacher will do something about the toilet facilities. It's not fair on the children. I'm glad you have found another school with good facilities. All the best of luck in your education in Ghana. Well done Mr and Mrs Nimo 👏 👍 😀

Thank you Genevieve! Yes in England all the kids went to public schools. I think the public schools in Ghana are overstretched in terms of the resources available. In terms of academics many of them are great. Many have big class sizes which exert pressure on the resources at hand. The headteacher is a very good friend of mine and we talked about some of the challenges facing them. Regarding the toilet facilities they have staff that oversees it’s clean. Alicia’s problem was the construction since it was dug in the ground and she had to squat lol.

The word "OBRONI" HAS BEEN BASTARDISED TO MEAN "WHITE PERSON" but that is not the true meaning of the word. OBRONI simply means someone from the horizon or a FOREIGNER. Oh Ghana. every light skin person is obroni. The teacher should put a stop to it, by letting them know she has a name, not obroni. Poor girl, one can imagine how overwelming it is for her with all coming shouting that word obroni. My goodness, how Alicia looks like my second dauther. this is crazy.

Alicia has to meet your daughter:) That would be lovely! Yeah she was confused. The attention she got was overwhelming for her. Yes the headmistress was very sorry about that and addressed it at the morning assembly. She was in a meeting outside the school that day. She was even surprised herself lol. It was as if a missionary had come to the school lol.

I don't know what the idea is but please why you want to subject your lovely kids to this? Just curious. I live in the US but I can't imagine myself doing this. If anything at all I'll send them to American school in Ghana.

Thanks for watching and I appreciate your question. The idea was to let the kids have a local experience being around local kids and learning the local language. Their cousins were already in the school and I took them there to experience it and they wanted to be there. If they go to an American or British private school with mainly foreign kids it kinda defeat the purpose of bring big them from the UK to Ghana. Moreover those American schools in Ghana charge American dollars. And not just a few lol. That was definitely not the route we wanted to go. We might as well kept them in the UK. They currently attend a private local school just a walking distance from our house and they love it.

@@FamilyByNature Oh okay. Good luck. Btw, they're lovely. Do you think the quality of education is worth it? Just asking.

@@samashify2 thank you! Yes the quality is good. As a private school the class size is smaller as compared to public schools. They have good ICT rooms with laptops which is important in today’s digital age. As the founder of the school is a Ghanaian-based American they run a mix of Ghanaian and American curriculum.
