I bet half of the squad has not even heard of McKenna until the last month or so. The players were pissed of with the sacking, they need a top-class manager to win them over, or it's a piss-poor start to another season. Poch at least brought some experience from coaching Messi, Mbappe, Neymar, Kane, etc, so there was some level of respect. With a young squad, it's inevitable things will get tough at some point and it'll be easy for them to point the blame to McKenna. Sacking Poch only makes sense if we hire someone the players already respect.

Spot on. When arrogant young Mou was brought to Chelsea he was armed with a superb CV loaded with trophies including the ultimate CL with Porto no less. Nowadays its the complete opposite, managers signed up because of their attractive playstyle rather than obtaining winning results achieved against quality opponents. Elite up and coming coaches must do their due diligence beforehand and work their way up to the 'big boys'. It's inevitable then mistakes being made by the ownership will see the turnover of managers continuing increasing fan frustration. Just saying the club was left in 3rd place when Roman was booted out. 1 billion + spent since on players and where do they sit now after 2 seasons?

Also out of these young managers i don't think Mckenna would suit our players as he plays counter attacking football whereas Maresca is a possession based manager who's quite obsessed with possession football and that's very suitable for our squad so his name on the list is not surprising at all to me. It might be Amorim tho i could also be De Zerbi the high profile mystery man.

The thing is - prior to Clownbake, managers would have gone from Ipswich to Brighton & then maybe to Chelsea as a progression. Except since Clownbake & Boehly Chelsea are no longer in the top echelons . . . . . So Ispwich to Chelsea isn't a huge leap. We are 2nd tier under these clowns.

I really hope the mystery man is amorim, people seem to be very excited about him. Hutchinson could play at lw, his age, makes it so he's still able to be molded to the position, then could have olise and noni rw palmer CAM.

It's Amorim. Everyone else is used as smokescreens. Amorim flew to London on a private jet paid by Chelsea to meet with 'West Ham' lol. At the time Sporting was fighting for another title and got through to the final of the cup which they'll play against Porto this Sunday. At the same time Chelsea seen its exit from the FA Cup and drew to Sheffield U and Burnley. Poch's fate was sealed but Amorim couldn't be announced because it would have disturbed both Chelsea and Sporting's stability. Currently plenty of clubs are looking for managers and the available managers are few and far in between yet according to Fabrizio we will announce our manager in days? Why would Chelsea be so confident considering the circumstances that they can get a manager within days? Perhaps because Amorim agreed a month ago and he will be announced on Monday after the cup final which is days away? Makes sense!

Amorin has been mentioned as the next big thing from Portugal --- a Mourinho 2.0 He has had experience 5+ years managing and trophies over the past several years at the elite level in Portugal whilst being competitive in European competitions. However, he has already upset the Sporting fanbase once and returned with his tail between his legs apologising profusely. I highly doubt that he would be the mystery guy because he will have a very big target on his back with Sporting fans if it were him. Maybe in another year's time as his actions recently did not sit well with many people in Portugal at a club still fighting for the title at the time.

I am hoping the 4th secret option is a manager nobody has revealed yet. Who is high profile and would not want their name to be disclosed? I suspect it is a coach who has not completed the season, a controversial option, or a PL coach with a secure job and does not want his name in the media circus. Unai Emery Edin Terzic Ruben Amoren Ten Haug TT could contact Blue Co directly and no reporter would need to know. Could it be a national team coach interested in the opening but Blue Co prefers to announce a coach quickly… 🤔🤔🤔🤔

The confusion and stress stems from every fans individual belief of what a manager can do...we only finished 6th because cold palmer hattricks and heroics now all of a sudden poch was doing good nah bruh.. no manager is world football history ever won without great players not jose not pep not sir alex even arteta has 4 wonderkids xabi has wirtz ect...i dont expect any manager to win at cfc right now his only chance is the players perform they do we win they dont we lose its just that simple if we can add more quality any manager will do decent and get europe...anyway estevao starts in 10mins ill be back after the game to give my review lets see what this kid can do ✌

From the beginning our problems were low blocks lets not forget this but we lost our fear factor meaning teams started to attack us...with our strong finish to the yr did that fear factor return thats what the new manager needs to figure out how does he adjust to low blocks vs 70% of teams like I said before I don't expect teams to face nkunku palmer james enzo ect and expect to win they will play for points we need a brave manager who can also keep us tight on the counter thats not enzo thats the problem how do we hide him while using nkunku who also isn't a galladog type this is only a hard job if you overthink it...we played gallas at LB who was slow why cant gusto do it use lavia we got talent but the manager must not get in his own way....I fully still expect 70% possession next yr besides city afc pool so I expect to win most of our games....11v11 we got better players thats the name of the game directors did half now finish it

I’ve watch a lot of videos now of McKenna a style and Ipswich breakdown over the last 2 seasons… he is not the style Chelsea re looking for! If they hire him they have no idea about football!!!
