Great video! Its great to be able to see the raw footage with ambient sounds cheers from fans. This presentation gives a much better sense accomplishment and scope of the event than a video in slow motion with cinematic soaring music. Thank you! I look forward to checking out your other videos!

I think that it's an absolutely incredible feat that a human being can run basically up-and-down the matterhorn, which is higher than 8000 feet in under 3 hours.

All these athletes are out here proving That if we work hard and fine tune our bodies we can do incredible things. Meanwhile I've spent 3 and a 1/2 hours falling down a KZfaq hole and that's how I ended up on this video

Can you imagine the lactic acid build up? Very impressive!
@Account-pq1it
@Account-pq1it 9 жыл бұрын
K Swiss There would only be a build up if your body is overworked (anaerobic energy production) and for long periods. If you are staying with in range of what your body is accustomed to (aerobic energy production) it will not produce lactate in the energy production process. So for someone as experienced as Jornet, it is not a problem.

Look, he didn't really beat the record. There are many more fixed ropes than in the past, and he used them for all they were worth. Also, he was given a jacket with supplies at the hut that he did not carry himself. He didn't carry anything. Did he do great, yes, but its not comparable to the previous record.

+Martin Mikloš Just because someone hasn't made something, doesn't mean they can't comment on it. In fact, there is thing called criticism, which is exactly that. Roger Ebert is a great example of someone who reviews films, not makes them. If you want to not have any comments, why don't you just turn them off? It will be so much better if you do, if you can't take criticism.

Much like Ueli Steck, a great feat of athleticism but I just don't see the point. Climbing an unclimbed peak yea but running, skipping, hopping up a peak long since climbed seems like a circus act. No disrespect but!!!
@wazzler
@wazzler 9 жыл бұрын
Circus act? It is a feat of endurance and speed. Every peak of note has been climbed, doesn't mean people should stop climbing. Instead, new routes are done and/or speed ascents, winter ascents, etc, etc. Just with any sport (which climbing is), it progresses. The 100m was done when man first learnt to walk, so is sprinting a 100m a circus act? There is no point to it other than to provide entertainment and/or a sense of achievement i.e. I am the fastest in the world. This is no different, just skill required that is absent in a 100m race (which is pure athleticism).
