With A R Rahman you seldom get short songs. He has done short songs though, but I prefer longer songs than songs from today that is like 2 minutes or 2 and half minutes long. Speaking about the location, it is an unique location for a song shoot, it's very rare movie crews are allowed to shoot on Machu Pichu. Director Shankar has showed indians many unique locations and attractions outside of India in his movies, mainly in songs

Yeah i understand why you felt it was long The thing is it is made for INDIANS right ?? Most of the INDIANS love longer songs and this was in 2010 Also the director SHANKAR spends a lot just for a song, I mean it a lot for just a single song... so they need to justify the producer's money And main thing the language is in Tamil and dubbed in Telugu, Hindi , Kannada... So it is a pan india movie as everyone calls it now And in these languages we understood the song and the songs were blockbuster in every language That is a rare thing for a movie which is dubbed in many languages and be a chartbuster for every song..... Also many other reaction channels watched this movie already and they loved it VFX might be a little animated in some areas because the budget is not in HOLLYWOOD level But i felt as per the budget they did amazing job and the story is very good And ofcourse movie collected a lot And i think you dont know this fact that in the AVENGERS AGE OF ULTRON Kevin Feige saw this movie ENTHIRAN aka ROBOT, made the climax of Age of Ultron with the inspiration of this movie climax... I mean i dont think i should say anything more as MARVEL president KEVIN FEIGE loved it then many will

The funny thing about this song is the lyrics mention about Kilimanjaro and Mohenjadaro without ever be concerned with Machu Picchu,the exact location where the song was filmed
