This is our story of summiting Kilimanjaro: our unforgettable journey on the Machame Route. A journey of the heart, where we met new wonderful people, led a different kind of life and challenged ourselves to the Uhuru Peak, Africa's highest summit.
I greatfully appreciate the time and openness of all the people in the movie, and of all the people I met on the way, but whom I did not get to capture on camera.
But above all, I would like to extend my gratitude to Thomas without whom I would probably not have made it to the summit. To me, he is the ultimate Kilimanjaro guide. You can find him on facebook as Thomas Adamu.

Nice Video, I am planning to next month can you please suggest me if it advisable to use FOREX card in Tanzania or better to carry dollars for expenses. Thank you

Hi. I could use revolut and other regular cards, but I do not own a forex card so not sure how well it will work. Maybe you can check with the guide you're doing the hike with. they might know better. Also, I would suggest that you have also some cash - since some shops / markets might not accept payment by card at all. we could pay in dollars pretty much everywhere (card or cash).

hello. very nice vidéo. preparing my self too for september . did toi had any sickness during the climb?😊

Hello and thank you! I did not experience altitude sickness during the climb itself, however, on the day before summitting, while resting, I did not get to sleep and I did feel a bit nauseated. The guides however, checked my oxygen level, which was good given the altitude, and I was able to summit without any problem at all. I guess my number 1 advice is to go very very very slow and that will increase your chances to avoid altitude sickness.

I filmed mostly with s GoPro hero 9 and also with a samsung - especially for the closeups. I also had a copule of Iphone shots.
