With the Navy Breachers, having returned to their ship, reported the dangers of the Gallowdark to their command. An elite team of veteran Cadians has been sent even deeper into the wreck to try to clear out the dangers. Little do they know what has made its lair in the heart of an old Mechanicum Shrine.

Idk if any rules tips are wanted for the kasrkin but here they are: more than one elite point can be used on one dice (but only dice) in the roll attack dice step, the comms can give +1apl twice in their turn to any friendly ops on the board (doesn't need los), the scouting guy let's you resolve a second scouting choice (1,2, or 3 dice thing), demo man must drop his mine outside of 2" from enemies

Might I ask how you double moved the Immortals turn 1? As far as I know, all that was used was Intractable March which makes them a 6 inch move. Not 6 inch, plus you can move twice.

18:23 Using a sniper on mark target is a pretty painful way of using a strong shooter. Missed atleast 9 damage there due to 2 crits, he could also have used 1 elite point to get 3 crits.

@13:45 how was that model able to move twice? is it model specific? usually you can't do any action twice

Really interested in this set with the armies and new added small terrain add-ons, but once again GW complicates things with needing various books that aren't included, with rules spread across multiple. Is there a breakdown of which books are needed across the various play styles/environments?

The book included with shadow vault includes the cqc rules for the ITD terrain. The only other rule book that you would need is the core book. But you don't even need the core book since gw has a free "lite" ruleset and the couple faq/balance pdfs are on the community website and are free, but I there isn't anything on there about ITD/Vaults yet

I am sorry, but there are SO many rules mistakes. I can understand not getting everything right, but the necrons are basically cheating at this point. You can only forward deploy the deathmark. You can only use the same action once per activation (no moving 12 inches a turn). You can only shoot with the cryptek through the apprentek if they see each other. You can use more than a single elite point. I am still glad I can see the teams in action, and it's still a fun video. But please go through the rules more than once briefly

Yeah and the way the Necron player was dictating the pace of the game and declaring rules so confidently it really did seem like cheating 😅 I don't think it was but I couldn't finish watching the batrep because of it

Thanks for the KT Mission Bat Reps, I enjoy them. About 15mins 2 Immortals with a 4" move (2 white circles), move 6".. then one that received an additional APL from the Accelerator then performs two move actions in an activation .. are there some funky necron moves/strats?

Ah there's a strat you played that gives an extra 2" move but can't work out the two move actions in an activation

@@johnhancock8236 I think the two moves were a slip up. You can move dash, but not move twice. THere's also Hierotek rule I know of that allows you to do it. Also the Apprentek can't be deployed in a hyperspace dimension, Dethmarks only.

@@scelonferdi it's definitely a slip up, but kinda too bad tbh because it let him get those models up in the face of the Kasrkin in the small room and blocking the door. Probably would've been a closer game. Interesting how much a couple inches of movement impacts the game.

I love the Kasrkin minis, but I think their stats leave a little bit to be desired. I wish these "elite" guys hit on a 3+. Oh and the sarge weapon options; I'm bummed out that you can't use a plasma pistol/power weapon combo since the pose of those weapons mirrors that of the old metal Kasrkin sarge, if not a 1:1 copy of the original model's weapons.

I actually built mine with the plasma pistol and power sword before I checked the list entry then had to snip the plasma pistol arm off and replace it.

It seems they just want the player to make tougher choices than just the best in slot for both options. Probably don't want to send Sarge into melee anyway since he only hits on 3+

Necron reanimating is a bit different. You make those tokens EVERY time a necron dies for the first time. Then you roll for each of them at the start of your turn.

Not really - if necron dies for the first time and IF it is attempting to reanimate. Then only certain abilities allow it to antempt to reanimate.

@@chrisessick7192 inintially I also have misread it along many reviewers :) So far I think, there are 3 ways to get reanimation - plasmacite, technomancer and ploy. But I don't have rules in my hands

@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames I think you are the only one who has realized the attack effectively comes from the aprentek as well. If I’m interpreting correctly, because the aprentek is used for LOS determination, you can effectively shoot around corners.

Oh look Xenos win again against Imperials. Wow, shocker....So sad that it seems GW just wants to pump out these Imperial models that just constantly lose against the Xenos teams. So far between the Navy and Guard, they haven't one ONCE in all the batreps between both box sets (with Navy coming close in the last one). And we're talking massive point spreads if I remember.

The problem with the Breacher vs Kroot batreps was that Ash was playing with an extra model each time (Kroot get 1 leader and 10 operatives, he was taking an extra operative each game). They're a lot more balanced on other batreps online

@@katarhall3047I'd have to go through my history to find specific videos, but search "Can You Roll A Crit" and "Glacial Geek" along with "into the dark." They both have batreps where the breachers win

I don't know about Kasrkin yet. Seem to leave something to be desired, but Breachers are great. WAY better than Kroot.

Omg. So many niggles. Can you shoot an enemy in engagement range? A model is incapacitated in the open, but reactivates in cover!? Really fast and loose with shooting through open doors, surely los is still a thing!?

To answer in order: No you can't, unless a guard action is done and you choose point-blank overwatch/have a specific ability that allows it. They SHOULD come back exactly where they died, UNLESS that would put them in engagement range of an enemy. los is still a thing, the only weirdish part is that when a door is opened, the entire piece of terrain it is attached to(The wall chunk that has the door) no longer has the wall trait, and the designer notes on page 68 states the opening itself provides no cover and is not obscuring(Not saying they did it right, just trying to get the info into the comments). :)
