I can understand why you're saying my perspective is narrow and as much as I understand your point about hype (which I do agree, hype really puts you into the mood when doing powermoves and crazy shit) these guys are Bboys. The music is a part of the dance's culture itself. Hyped up music works well for trailers, showcases and what not but in a battle, it's about the dance and culture.

Maybe I'm wrong in accusing the DJ because he probably does want to just hype up the battle (and is most likely a very nice guy in real life) but I'm saying in the context of Bboying and battling, the music is an essential element and part of the dance. So yes, this is a narrow perspective but it's in respect to the Bboy culture.

I do agree with you to some point but my main problem is, it feels as though powerheads get put into the wrong light when they play music like this. Powerheads are Bboys so I'd rather see hyped up break beats during a battle. I know what you mean though but yeah, that's just my opinion.

To be honest imo. Think kill should have taken it but good battle all around Round 1- kill Round 2- kill Tie break- Tie.

I Wouldn't Judge as tie break the first 2 routines. Blond first round was just 1 elbow spin while Kill did 2 very amazing routine. In The end the only tie break was the last routine of each bboy but even here Kill made more combos. I'm Watching lot of contest and it seems that Blonde win just because is Blond
