Some of Priest's tracks throughout his body of work have made me cry and also some have given me chills and goosebumps. This is the stuff of greatness. This effect is the result of art that will be in the shelves of the most prestige museums of the world say 50 or 100 years from now, maybe less than that.

It goes further than it being the cradle of civilization that makes it deep. It's deep because priest is one of many blacks that were enslaved and taken from Africa. Him saying his heart is the shape of Africa is saying his entire being, thoughts, his life spirit is that of the land his ancestors were taken from. He's African still in spirit and life.

Spoon Wills Slowly am I finding Real lyrics. Through Canibus I've learned about K-rino, Killah Priest, Born Sun, then you have dope artist in the UK like Lowkey, Akala, Logic, and MF DOOM whose there now, he's even number 1 for Lupe Fiasco, as far as best rapper goes, but my favorite is Canibus. Mickey Factz is sick, and lupe would be one of my fav from mainstream (i don't like mainstream music). As far as lyrical gangsta rap goes Cassidy would be #1 for me, because sometimes he steers away from that, and when he does he goes in. I like Guru (gangstarr) Immortal Technique, WuTang, Lone Ninja, check out his song equillibrium. There are a lot of real hip hop artist out there. You have to dig deep to find them.

Word play, metaphors, similes and some ok topics is all most of those artists are mixed with drug consumption and other nonsense like the mainstream. This is beyond that. This is why I don't listen to hip hop at all no more. Mostly producers and instrumental music from other countries. You'd be surprised the vibes you can find in other traditional music without any lyrics or bass thumps.
