Static Age is a masterpiece!!! I'm shocked no major label signed them in 77/78 considering the amount of major label interest in Punk Rock at the time! If Static Age would have been released in 78 it would have been a whole different story for the Misfits.

@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack I agree I adore the Ramones, They were obviously the trail blazers but I think Misfits write better songs. But maybe the majors weren't interested in them cause of their image and horror themed lyrics, by 1978 punk was perceived as this ultra political statement and the misfits weren't about that And maybe the record labels found them a bit goofy

@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack dude sadly the Ramones were not that huge in the US. They were significantly bigger in South America and Europe. That more than likely played a factor in the hesitancy for labels to sign the misfits and other early punk bands.

Great video! I'm a huge Misfits/Danzig fan and even I learned some new things. I'd love to find that original 12 Hits From Hell. Shame it was never rereleased. Love the new intro! Straight up, here’s the logo. Run down of the various albums through time is helpful as those days of Misfits releases got so scattered to me. I think the release dates might not have been easy to find on the vinyl. It was hard to know what came out when and this puts all that into perspective! Also I keep feeling like some of these song titles inspired songs and bands I knew later. ‘12 Hits From Hell’ really went through the ringer! Oh, you did the hair at the end! That’s a trip. (I know the feeling. That do is tough on the eyes.) Definitely curious about ‘Walk Among Us’. Thank ye, sir!

There are actually a couple of Black Flag/Misfits connections. For one thing, Henry Rollins is credited for doing backing vocals on the live version of “We Are 138” on “Evillive.” Then there’s Robo playing on Earth A.D. In addition, Danzig’s solo drummer, Chuck Biscuits played drums for Black Flag for a time.
