An emotional Killer Mike reflects on the enormous impact both his mother and grandmother had on his life. The rapper, who was alone with his grandmother when she passed away, shares how she “saw something” and smiled before she died, leaving him to believe in the presence of God. Killer Mike then goes on to discuss the loss of his mother and what he wishes he had gotten the chance to tell her before she passed.

This deserves 1K + likes. I swear. Because the emptiness you feel inside you is like the cord is being pulled and tugged at your insides until either you get used to it or it actually vanishes. That connection is something else.

I am horrible with words. And i am a private person. I lost my father a year ago and have not handled it well. The first time i heard "motherless" i was in my father yard on his mower and had a complete breakdown. watching this video, and seeing his pain i relive some of my own, but i also recognize that there is healing in the sadness. Thank you Michael Render for letting us into your world and making an album showing that rising above pain and hurt is part of the process

Keep pushing forward. Don't you dare give up. I attempted suicide at 15, over 20 years ago and I'm thankful I made it through. I sat on a window ledge tired and sad thinking ending my life would end the pain and save my sister Mackenzie from abuse because my mother couldn't cover up suicide like she did everything else. Having a relationship with God had completely changed my life. I live a happy life even on a day where I'm down to little funds. We each have so many things to live for and ve thankful for. Had I had someone talk me off the ledge I would've gotten down. God loves you, please push through. Take a screen shot and keep my response of you need a reminder because there is beauty in whatever your struggling with now. God will recycle it ALL if you trust and believe. I'm not religious so I'm not trying to pitch you a religion but GOD is definitely real. We have to learn to appreciate the small things to see how much more is worth moving ahead for. You can make a valuable difference in this world if you allow God to show you. Give yourself grace. Please don't give up. Lookout for the channel PROPEL, it'll be coming soon on youtube, and it will have encouragement videos and the same types of videos that have motivated me. Go to sleep with scripture playing and have a monent with God first thing in the am befire you engage in anything/with anyone else and I promise you'll have the armor to get through..to push through. God bless you Mackenzie.

Since my mother passed 7 years ago, I’ve never been able to explain how it feels to friends that are still fortunate enough to still have theirs on Earth. Killer Mike articulated those feelings to a “T.” I’m grateful to have come across this short but powerful clip today. God bless Killer Mike, and blessings to everyone who’ve experienced such tremendous loss on their lives. Happy Holidays! ❤️❤️❤️

My mother had gone less than a year when two of my friends were comparing the "terrible" things their mothers were doing to them. I said "Do you want to know what my mother did to me!?! - She died" Maybe not the best way to encourage them to enjoy and appreciate their mothers while they were still here but they did check themselves and stop complaining 😭🥰

Having gone through the experience of losing a mother that meant the world to me too early, I can answer the question of how we handle it and keep going. The truth is, you want to fall apart, but you can't. You owe it to the departed to not let the end of their life turn your life, that they devoted so much love and caring to, into a tragedy. The only answer I've found is to then throw your life into loving and caring those that depend on you, and keep the cycle of love going. This is how they live on, and this is how one day when I am gone the same spirit with live through my children, and theirs.

I could’ve done it without him.
