@@yellowflash7696Nolan is great but Scorcese and Villeneuve are a tad bit higher imo. And slow burn movies when made properly are much better than fast paced exciting movies with no internal plot.

Nolan can’t. He has too many white actors in his movies, as per the new Oscars rules his film isn’t eligible for awards. The rules are draconian, imo

What I love is that Scorsese really gives his historical epics real complexity and depth. He made me love reading about history no matter how dark or even evil it can get--so we can learn how to make our world a better place.

Leo is the last true movie star, everyone after this generation just don’t bring the same star power like they use to, that’s mainly because the landscape is spread so thin with streaming and just so many options out there, only actors who made a name for themselves like circa late 90’s maybe early 00’s at the latest can muster up that kind of enthusiasm that movie stars of old always did back in the day. Chalamet is probably a great example. He’s a star a bonafide A-list celebrity actor but I don’t think he’ll ever be a bankable star akin to say Leo or Pitt or Cruise or even a Damon.

The Jesse Plemons scene is funny because duh he's obviously here to investigate the murder, but then you realize Leo's white character is genuinely confused why the American government cares to investigate the murders of the natives...something that is still ignored by the local blue klan
