A buddy of mine has an 86 Toyota pickup. I was changing the oil and doing a tuneup on his other car (he is hopeless when it comes to car maintenance), I asked how long overdue the pickup was. I finally pulled it out of him that he had NEVER had a tuneup OR EVEN AN OIL CHANGE done in the FOUR YEARS he had owned it! I felt sick to my stomach and finally got him to let me drain out the half quart of runny clay that used to be 4 quarts of motor oil. Truly the AK47 of engines.

Actually the Hilux was sold in America from 1991-1995 when it was replaced by the tacoma. Most of those models are made in america but some do come from the japan plant. I hope to own one of these one day along with a Toyota LC70 Pickup!

That is so true about the Nokia phone. I have one from 2004. Simple yet durable. Not a deep scratch on it even though I toss it around. Retains a 1 week charge still. I take it with me when I travel to other countries that use the bands that it uses. Just as reliable as a revolver.

And 9 years later... My hilux 3.0 vigo is still sticking kicking up. It just won't give up no matter where I take this beastly thing. To show my gratitude, I gave her a nice 6 inch lift with Buckshot mudder tires. I'll also be changing the timing belt and clutch for the first time even though I still didn't have any problem with them.
