It was always a menace. Suddenly having one or a few blocking your only escape surely ended more often than not in a nice slimy bath of deadly puke and slashes.

@@cuscuz.69420 the stalkers in KF1 are almost useless considering you can see them with experience, and they just walk right up to you, appear, and then do very little damage. Probably the weakest enemy in the game IMO. They are WAY more annoying in KF2 where they flicker the cloak more randomly, jump and flip and do all sorts of annoying shit, and somehow still get in your way. Crawlers are pretty unchanged between 1 and 2, fast, hard to hit, annoying spawn in large groups but very low health.

The ultimate is when you're running from a Fleshpound hoard with low health and you just run into a siren. in KF1 I swear they're programmed to sometimes break away from the horde and come out of nowhere to ambush you at the worst possible time.

If it’s work like L4D that would be amazing.

It also looks like Zeds can also execute downed players, which is terrifying

Or this is just a scripted video that shows things that will not be in the game.

@@GameZamaG It might be better if players could break out of being pinned by certain Zeds by themselves, just to make it a bit different from L4D.

looks lame, looks like they're gonna make kf3 even more casual modern shooter than 2 was. dodges in the other trailer, only gonna be able to buy weapons for your class and only one character for each class smells of fomo microtransactions.

Oh yeah, that sounds nuts if that's the case. Also, I did notice it looks like there's a revive system in place now. Instead of just dying, you can be downed and revived by teammates...but, on the opposite end, you can be finished off by the Zeds.

The Bloat himself also kinda resembles Mancubus

It looks like players go into a downed state instead of dying, and zeds can execute players in a downed state. So I'd say yeah, that's exactly what's happening

Couldn’t agree more. Personally I like all the vibes and aesthetic they showed, but the gunplay and perks system (and gore but that seem pretty good already) is still what I like the most about killing floor so hopefully tripwire won’t screw up like overkill.

Eh, I wouldn't call it hero shooter mechanics. It probably works more like class based pve. Like Vermintide or Darktide where the characters have a skill tree

It's not surprising you'd call this both "the best redesign" and also "actually scary". I bet you thought armored clots were extremely innovative and clever too. Tripwire just killing it with their genius game design. Personally I just hope we get more community maps and endless DLC guns and cosmetics like last time.

@@Jackfromshack Am I meant to assume that you bought off-perk weapons on a regular basis? And yeah, character/class limits are kind of lame. I don't love that concept either, but I wouldn't start calling for heads just yet. We've barely seen what the game has to offer.

part of me hopes that the mark 7 will be for a non specialist character with survivalist traits that can actually use all weapons from each "class" but i doubt tripwire will pull their head out of their ass and realize a hero shooter isnt what most people want

You have your specialists and don't have to redo any work, and you have a blank slate soldier for people that want a jack of all trades and to play the game without restrictions given it'll be at the cost of efficiency but it's replaced by variety.

They can still show guns, maps, classes, all the other Zeds and bosses, they’ve got lots to show. I’m happy we’re getting more info lol, specially since people are noticing Ultimate moves like the drone and executions so we’ve got lots to cover in 6 months

@@AiRPasternak i just don't see how it qualified as hero shooter when its pve. I also like the idea that a berserker / melee class can actually be physically larger than other characters to look like they can swing hammers and stuff hard. That's something you can't get when all the characters need to be the same size and shape to be universal

they showed it off in the pc gamer video, against a bloat specifically. it looked alright against the bloat, but overall seems downgraded from kf2. the physics are lacklustre. i don't think it'll look drastically different in 10 months.
