I'm totally mystified by the media coverage this clip has gotten, pretending to be an exemplar of upscaling/remastering. It's terrible. Even Topaz Video Enhance presets would do a dramatically better job than this. There are numerous "A.I." (not actually machine-learning) models to deal with pixelation and macro-blocking artifacts, for example. This "HQ" version is nearly indistinguishable from the original. But hey, enjoy your 15 minutes...

The presets didn't produce a great result no matter how many different presets I tried. Some of these low quality, pixelated clips are really challenging to restore in any fashion. I'm just a guy who loves camp pop culture and tries to preserve things that bring me joy. If anybody else is passionate about the same and wants to chat about upscaling and how they go about getting the best possible results, I'd love to discuss! I'm still learning the software, myself.
