Wow a lot of negativity as people talk about the rich pretending to be poor working class for a video. First off it's a video, it's fantasy, stick to non fiction books and documentaries if you hate poetic license so much. Second is kim gordon has been a hard working touring musician for a long long time, mostly as a vocalist, guitarist and bass player for sonic youth, but also isn't a rolling stone or a smashing pumpkin. She has money but isn't ridiculously famous and wealthy, as she is listed as being worth about 6 million, after 67 years on this planet, from creating a ton of music, touring, producing, has kept making visual art, and fashion, grabbed up some small acting jobs and from writing a book. The woman has put in work. No she doesn't work at a grocery store, but go travel around the world till nights and days blur out playing a bass, and you will know that it's manual labor, as well as mentally taxing, (sore throat, hands hurt, cramping, hungover, doesn't matter you got a concert booked and fans counting on you being your beat or it may hurt future sales) and while it has paid off she had to stay grinding to get to a point she could retire if she wanted, and live a comfortable life. Musicians are loved for many reasons, but one of those reasons being that it is a blue collar way, that could result in failure at any time, or give an artist white collar money. I say thank god she hasn't retired and has kept making things for fans, to which she isn't forcing anyone to be. Go watch and listen to something else, as i thought her solo album was absolutely fantastic, and will have to put it back on my phone as i listened to it like crazy back in 2019 when it came out. She didn't have to put out a video for people either, considering by now it's getting to be old news, and did this because she probably wanted to make something with her daughter, during a pandemic ,with people having to isolate. Kinda limited on safe options to do anything, but she chose to make something artistic with her daughter and offer it as entertainment, and people want to bash it because they're from an "elite artist rockstar family"? Get outta here with that gibberish.
