‘Wild Road’는 어쿠스틱 사운드를 기반으로 한 하드 락 장르의 곡으로 음악감독 최철호, 작곡가 회장님, 유영준 등 프로젝트 그룹 U-mb5가 공동작곡한 곡이다.
거친 세상일지라도 자신만의 나라를 찾기 위해 어쩔 수 없이 견뎌야만 하고 끊임없이 타인과 혹은 자신과 싸워 나가야하는 극 중 선호의 절절한 아픔과 성장을 노래하고 있다.
그룹 부활의 4대 보컬리스트인 김재희가 극의 대본을 읽고 직접 작사하고 가창에 참여함으로 그만의 호소력 있는 창법이 곡의 전체적인 분위기를 이끌고 있다. 시원한 샤우트 창법역시 김재희의 트레이드 마크이지만 이번 OST ‘Wild Road’에서는 차분하고 절제되어 성숙미가 돋보이는 또 다른 그의 음색을 만나볼 수 있다.
또한 그룹 ‘부활’의 수장이며 국내 락 밴드의 자존심이자 최고의 기타리스트인 김태원이 직접 기타연주를 해 더욱 의미있는 곡이 아닐까 싶다. 김재희의 친형인 故 김재기와는 워낙 각별했던 김태원의 기타연주가 왠지 모르게 쓸쓸함과 고독한 감성을 더 채워준 듯 곡의 완성도를 더했다.

i know its weird but that song hits me hard during the scene of nam jeon deaths. This scene was kinda sad, he only dreamed of a kingdom ruled by his subjects, is just that his way to do it was immoral. nam jeon had a little smile while dying, accepting his faith, with no regrets. Even if he was the ''bad guy'' he really lived by his convictions. Im impress by his character

Me too. It was the first time I cried when the villan die. Him being so calm throughout the whole scene that was great. Unlike Ban won, nam jeon never lied. He is a man of his word.
