I see people talk about signing him, and I think: Yes, we could do with (means; NEED) another defensive midfielder. However, how many over 30 years of age do we need? :P We have Flamini and Arteta, both more than decent def.mids, but they are 30 and 32 respectively, and Källström turns 32 in a couple weeks. If Wenger could get him for free, I suppose he would do that, simply for the lulz. Nevertheless, he should consider buying a holding midfielder, in the prime of his carreer. That way, we would get a satisfying option this season, and in the years to come. Personally, I would like to see Lars Bender in an Arsenal shirt. Good defensive skills, but can also go forward. Alternative #2 (if a more pure DM is the wish) - Schneiderlin is already BPL proven as a DM and has very good technique, would fit in rather nice. Also, I don't consider Khedira as an option. Bayern can grab him free next season and satisfy his (slightly crazy) wage demands. :)

Why do we have arteta, when this guy was much better. He made good tackles and he had good long passing and short passing. Arteta has none of these and he is are main holding midfielder.

Anyone who thinks Kim made a difference to our season is deluded, he may be a good player but he certainty didn't make a difference to our season. He only started one game and played a total of 81 minutes throughout the half season he was here and although he was injured for most of that quite frankly he still wouldn't have played much more. Also the penalty he scored to help us to the FA cup final wasn't that crucial as we had plenty of competent penalty takers within our club. So. as I said he is a good player but he made absolutely no difference to our season whatsoever.
