i respect Hila’s opinion but the statement “i don’t think you can plan viral moments like this” comes off as naive. The Kardashian’s careers have been built on these viral moments keeping them in public conversation, the point is obviously to do so in a way that doesn’t seem planned or else it wouldn’t work. They’ve had their fair share of scandals and faux paus enough to know how certain things will play out in today’s climate. Kim knows very well there’s an image of her as a sort of spoiled spoon fed celebrity, the whole “Kim there’s people that are dying” meme was based purely on that. I don’t think she’d be stupid enough to completely innocently say no one wants to work just get your ass up and work and not expect the same sort of backlash. The Kardashian’s image and statements as a whole have been extremely calculated for years, as evidenced by their steady position in pop culture for decades now. That doesn’t just happen, most celebrities have a peak or waxing and waning of popularity which is only natural with the constant influx of new celebrities to talk about. But the Kardashian’s have remained, Kris is a mastermind manager she’s very good at what she does and no doubt that mindset and methodology influences her children day to day.

I just re-watched the part where Hila and Ethan shot down Love and A.B.'s point of view. I realized that Hila started taking it personal. This conversation was not about the Kardashian's anymore, it was about all the accusations Hila and Ethan have had over the last year. I agree with Love, this is about a Billion dollar Brand which happens to be a Family Business.

The girl who spoke on horoscopes was actually really enlightening (forgive me, I'm forgetting her name). I'm a pretty big nonbeliever when it comes to all of that stuff, and am typically pretty annoyed by people who do nothing but go on & on about it. But she spoke so eloquently, and was so well-articulated & well-studied, that she really opened my mind a lot to some new perspectives. Genuinely enjoyed her points a lot, and it was all presented in a way that was very easily digestible and well illustrated. I always appreciate someone's passion when they approach an argument with the confidence they've put into their craft/studies. Really wish Ethan would pull back sometimes and not interject so much with what he thinks is funny and will get a laugh from the crew (Dan). Just common courtesy in conversation to at least let people finish their sentences and their thoughts when they're clearly trying to go somewhere larger with it and move forward.

During the lockdown, Kim got backlash for being out of touch due to her wealth when she had her birthday party on the secluded island. This was likely accidental backlash. Then someone notices that and says, "hey, this story was everywhere, wasn't it? Why don't we just do it again to stir up buzz for the show & control the narrative?" With Peace and Love, Hila talking about how she knows what it's like to be dragged in the media compared to Kim Kardashian is so laughable. Obviously Hila is a talented woman and has made a name for herself by her hard work and skills when it comes to clothing. She is known by millions of people. But Kim is a household name to billions. Kim has a full PR team. This family has perfected the art of staying in the press and constantly being talked about. They knew what questions were going to asked by Variety before the interview (that's normal) so Kim and her team already worked out exactly what Kim was going to say - or at least the main points Kim was going to say so that it sounded less rehearsed. Compared to Kim, Hila is just another joe-shmoe (again with Peace and Love). The Kardashian family is very calculating. They've been doing this and doing it VERY well for over a decade. The Kardashians and their teams know what they are doing. I mean, Khloe posted a photo on Instagram (and they are always SOOO photoshopped to the point where they don't even look like Khloe) but her hand looked SOOOO weird. It made the news, albeit some bullshit new outlets like Buzzfeed, but still. They pay people to edit their photos. Khloe wouldn't have posted that picture of her hand looking like Voldemort's hand unless she was trying to get attention and publicity. IDK if she had some new TV show or some bullshit to sell to her fans. But the hand thing was on purpose, 100%. Hila just hasn't worked with very competent PR people it seems like. But I'm proud of Love for standing his ground on his opinion because the dude is exactly right. I appreciated that AB had Love's back even though he backed off to avoid getting possibly cancelled haha!

Love this show and Ethan and Hila so much. Stan every move they make and buy everything they put out but I gotta agree, this episode was painful. I was so sad and embarrassed for the way Ethan treated the astrologer. I get he doesn’t believe in astrology (neither do I) but this is a person talking about what she does for a living and you treated it like a big schtick. Then the situation with AB and Love… ugh. I’m so disappointed and sad.
