I have watched all of Napoli's games last season, and I can confidently say that he practically defended two-thirds of the defensive half on his own. The full-back didn't even need to contribute to the defense. As a result, the left full-back Mario Rui played more like a wing-back within their 4-3-3 formation. This led to an immense attacking pressure on the left wing side where Kvara plays.

Another amazing thing about Kim Min Jae is that he is versatile across central defence, i.e. LCB, CB, and RCB. He played RCB at Beijing Guoan and currently as well for Korea, played at central CB in a back three for Fenerbahce, and played LCB at Napoli. This guy isn't just going to Man United to play second fiddle to Martinez, he might actually displace Varane as the starting RCB due to his greater strength, distribution, and importantly, athleticism. As the saying goes, the best ability is availability. Varane's not going to be able to play twice a week for too long before breaking down.

Kim is his last name, not Jae. His first name is Min-jae, and his last name is Kim So it is Kim Min-jae in korean way to read, Min-jae Kim in European way
