I absolutely agree with you on that one. Although the phrase was invented by President Richard Nixon, and it is slightly different, 'Only if you have been in the deepest valley, can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain'.

This lady is always made to appear insane, but really she's a lady of honesty and integrity. Her background has made her utterly independent and she is rightly disgusted by other people's self-serving, flexible versions of honesty.

W in the celebrity world, everyone is self-interested and vain. That would drive any normal person insane. They like winding her up because it makes good TV. She plays up to it because she knows she's expected to for money.

W Try putting yourself in her position. Would you have the strength? She is ultimately a good woman. The others on Loose Women are vain and would change their beliefs according to what they perceive is trendy and popular. Kim is Kim. What you see is what you get. People like her are a dying breed.

@@franceskellu3503 did we watch the same episode? Kim went out looking for a fight. She attacked every member of the panel, then played the victim when she couldn't win. She's not the only person in the world that's had a very bad childhood, but every time she goes on TV she seems to be angry and attack someone and use her past as a weapon and excuse. She clearly puts herself in these positions on purpose for cash, she even said so on this morning after cbb and on loose women. She's vile, money hungry and in need of psychological help.

I always say that when you abuse a child (physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, or sexual, you break the child, and you break the adult they become. But depending on their fortitude, the child within the adult can build itself up. I find it amazing that this woman was treated so horribly by her parents especially her mother, but out of all the children, Kim is the only one who made a household name for herself. She truly deserves her success and her happiness.

Obviously I don't know the full story, but it sounds like Kim was a victim of narcissistic abuse. I'm going through this with my mother and I can't put into words how awful it is and the permanent damage it leaves people, even when they reach adulthood. That kind of abuse in your formative years leaves someone completely broken. There are a a lot of good support groups for victims of it, and a lot of good books for grown up children of these type of abusers. But speaking personally, nothing can heal your broken heart. You can live with it and come through the other end, but the pain never really goes away, for myself at least.

I always admired her. I feel very saddened by her story, she’s a real inspiration. I think because of her traumatic life she’s very sensitive and some people interpret that as snappy or argumentative but it’s obvious she felt people should be more tactful. In CBB it was clear that things escalated because of this, people didn’t know why she was upset with them. Not realising that she was genuinely upset and felt it was personal.

This is so moving. I've watched Celebrity Big Brother & the Loose Womans fallout & find it all very sad & upsetting for all concerned: Kim is hypervigilant because of her phycological traumas, the big brother's house is set up to twist your mind, trust & behavior so this would've been re-traumatising for Kim growing up with mind games etc... This would add to Kim's black & white intensity which can also, rightly or wrongly, make her (counter) bully another. To Kim she's speaking the truth & defending herself against imminent danger so will not relent, we see this in her accusatory/attacking response to Linda's desire to comfort her, she also physically defends (non-violently) herself from perceived threat because she is able to decern Linda's intention - this is very hurtful to those falsely accused! Sadly, this makes Kim more likely to experience negativity from others because of her unjust responses to the context of a situation, like a self-fulfilling prophecy! However, that doesn't mean she always perceives people wrongly, just that either way her response will be fueled with the ancient guttural pain, fear, and anger from her past too! On a positive note: There are therapies out there that help with Complex/Post-traumatic stress behaviors. EMDR therapy is excellent in helping suffers wounds heal, & find much need peace of mind - I can personally vouch for that :)

She reminds me of the old ladies of the east end. If u messed with them they would give as good as they get. Other than that they were the most generous and fun to be with. They always took care of their own and grafted hard. She’s always had to fight her own battles and become always on the defensive in the process. It obvious the ghosts of her past never left her and her wounds are wide open. I think some love patience respect and understanding is all she really wants. This always brings out the best in people. Her story is fucking horrendous. I read about it while she was on CBB. It's not surprising she is the way she is. She may come off as abrasive but I think that's a way to protect herself. Ms. Woodburn deserves happiness, love, and success. She's an honest woman.

This woman is truly amazing! I remember growing up people called her a cheap commoner because of her dressing attire. But she is a highly elegant lady with sophistication and knows what it is like to come from nothing. She hasn't forgotten her roots and walks with her head held high. I love her

And yet colleen nolan won cbb when really KIM DESERVED TO WIN for her honesty. They bullied this woman so much but they never broke her. Kim is stronger than anyone and can take anyone on that dares to mess with her. Xx

I love Kim so elegant and honest - and straight talking - the kind of person that appeals to us straight talking Scots . I read her book and have nothing but admiration for how successful she has been despite her horrible childhood , Coleen Nolan on the other hand is just a spoiled podgy attention seeker who isnt worth wasting your breath talking about

There are few women in this world I adore more than Kim Woodburn! The way she's been treated in the last few years is absolutely disgusting! Her brutal honesty in a world of lies and fake people will always be an inspiration. ❤

I’m sure I heard the story that she had a child when she was very young that died and she buried this child herself without telling anybody at that time. What a strong wonderful person she turned out to be....not many could cope with all these awful memories.

I actually read her book many years ago. The saddest part was her being pregnant with no support given birth on her own, to a still born son, burying the lad on her own in a park, then going into work the next day, and collapsing due to heavy blood lose, that poor young girl must of been so scared. Love Kim her strong will and her work ethics, will never forgive Colleen ( I can't sing) Nolan for the way she treated Kim I. Cbb, it was disgusting, then inviting Kim onto loose women to say sorry, that was a load of crap from Nolan, she just tormented and bullied Kim so much that Kim walked of crying.
