+RODALCO2007 You can buy pretty decent busses in Denmark. A law requires a lot of them to be taken out of service after 15 years of service.

It's a bit unfair, that the dislike bar is so high on this one... Yes, it's a horrible thing to see as a bus fan, I genuinely get sad when I see things like this, but the video itself is interesting and informative: the technology used being so... barbaric to demolish such a massive and complex structure is quite interesting.

The last Flxibles were built in 1995 and warranty was over in 2010. Many are still going because of quality. The over the road Flxibles from the thirties through the sixties are still used many personally owned ones look new.too bad about the inferior ones.

There´s less demand for 10+ year old buses than in the 1990´s when used buses from Scandinavia were sold to Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Baltic states. There ´s hardly a market for salvage parts to Africa, they are using mid-sized buses made in China and Turkey. So no use for older buses anymore, granted they have high mileage of 800 000km to 1 000 000km and those DAB 15-1200 buses were not as robust and trustworthy as the older DAB´s on Volvo B10M chassis.

Pretty brutal destruction. I wonder how long it took to manufacture each bus, compared to the 12 minutes to destroy. Nevertheless, the destruction was quick and efficient, and interesting to watch. The buses at the end of the video look on as their one-time companion dies, knowing they are next on the menu.

Once should expect that something that has a non corroding aluminium and Fiberglas body would last longer than the 15 years they let most city busses have before they are retired and in most cases scraped some mid motor busses such as the Volvo B10m in Odense had a service life of 30 years, much better for the resources. Also too bad that its replacement will not be Made in Denmark with DAB and Aabenraa closed.

@@diegoborges7627 normalmente quando o chassis é de uma fabricante como a Volvo, eles falam no título. a DAB penso que fazia o próprio chassis e usava motor DAF nestes modelos

A most efficient crane operator! The videos of those in Russia show zero urgency, zero technique and appear to be playing a rigged arcade game. Smash down and then pull out appears the best strategy but don't tell the Russians!
