I agree. The nasties are coming out of the woodwork to punish Elon for his world view. He is trying to save democracy and challenging the power structure in this country that wants to take our freedoms away: big tech, media, big money, our government etc... Both Musk and Kimbal have spent their lives thinking big and trying to improve the life of everyone. This sort of worldview when successful is punished. It would be interesting to dig into the deleware case to see who these shareholders are that are complaining. I'd guess the lawyers representing them have ties to the system that wants to stop elon. Gregory Varallo is the lead lawyer and I bet if you dig you will find a motive. I mean Musk met the impossible targets and 80% of shareholders voted for it. This sort of interference from a handful of people changes the way corporations can incent their leaders.

Thanks for the news flash. 81% of shareholders, including me, knew what they voted for when they approved Elon’s compensation. We realized that if he could achieve the unprecedented growth We would all get wealthy and he did. Every CEO in America should have a compensation plan that has no salary and they only get paid if they achieve outrageous goals. It perfectly aligns compensation with shareholders interests.

Elon Musk achieved what no other company in history has done: he scaled a business teetering on the edge of bankruptcy into the fastest-growing large manufacturing company ever, all while sleeping on the factory floor. The survival of Tesla itself is miraculous, with numerous improbable events keeping it afloat. Most CEOs would have failed, comfortably ensconced in their mansions, but Elon chose to couch surf, foregoing a salary for years and selling everything he owned and gambled to save SPACEX and TESLA at the same time. Wtf have you done with your life that you deserve to project your BS opinion on a company that you don't own shares of or know anything about it? I personally know seven individuals who have worked at SpaceX and Tesla for over 12 years, enduring the challenging times. The judge's ruling will be overturned. It's totally understandable, but it's still true that he exploited the agreement with the bank. This is all about "exploiting" having a negative connotation.
