Awesome and answered my 1 question that the plate comes with the optics included in the event I decide to remove the optic - beautiful gun!

Are there air guns that punctures CO2 capsule on the first trigger pull? I’m looking for a BB gun pistol that can do this. It seems that 99% don’t have this feature. I want to be able to have the co2 capsule punctured only when I decide to fire the first shot.

@@Joshua-1986 definitely not a compact. Compacts are Glock 19, CZ P-10C, Walther PDP. Kimber Website has it listed as Micro Compact. And a tad bigger than Hellcat.

Agree. Will wait for Gen 2. Roll pins? Proprietary rail? Little to no aftermarket support (just released afterall). Always wait. The only thing you don't have to wait years for are Glocks... since they barely ever change! 🤣

We'll have to see if the smaller ejection port results in more ejection failures.

Doubt it. They wouldn't have designed it that way if it lead to a significant amount of failures. Didn't see any failures from all of the reviews that have poured out so far. I mean, they aren't the only ones that have designed the ejection port that way. Tons of perfectly reliable guns have them like that: Walther PPK, pretty much every single AR or AK... side ejection should not be mind blowing.

@@anonypersona3189 There are no real reviews for this gun yet. All videos are from samples sent by Kimber. Considering how crap Kimber has been lately, I wouldn't risk the money on a first gen locked breech designed by Kimber themselves.

@@QarthCEO I can agree with that. Not buying it right out of the gate unless it's a Glock. Little holster options, zero light options, little aftermarket support, etc... It would be years until I buy one. In fact, thinking about the P365 XL as my next purchase (years after release).

They'd probably keep "Mako" in the name b/c doing so leverages an established and genetically related brand name. For example: Mako-D or F: "duty" or "full size" Mako-C: "compact" (Glock 19 size) They could also change the binomial code. For example: "R8 Mako" could be the compact "R9 Mako" could be the duty/full size They could also mix and match: R7 Mako-M1 = the flagship micro-compact model, gen 1 R8 Mako-C2 = compact model, gen 2

Tell Dave from Kimber that his new product sucks. Stop limiting us to The Shield rmsc. The only optic that's worse than the shield rmsc is an optic that doesn't work

Literally just use the holsun k series optics or if your a prood use the freaking rmr cc , you act like just because the optic installed model installed worth it , its like the gun sucks also if you want a big optic you can't just slap it on a little gun , these little optic are made for these 1 inch wide guns

@@Davidmoore-xy6wu the rmrcc, which is what I want to use with it, won't fit the shield footprint. Hence the comment. Not sure what made you think I wanted to mount a rifle scope, because I never said anything about size.

@@Davidmoore-xy6wu not to mention, I specifically referred to the shield footprint. It doesn't matter what gun you have, if it has the shield footprint on the slide the RMRcc is not going to fit. You might consider reading what you're responding to before you respond to it.
