Honestly, you sound like a newer Carat, don't feel bad for staff. Seventeen were hyper, but staff back then did actively abuse them. They were often punished by not being allowed to eat, were threatened, and just generally verbally abused by staff. The staff they have today are really good, but back then it was horrible.
