@@leyley8234 i thought it was Yuri. She was supposed to debut as a soloist, to follow BOA because of how she resembles her so much during that time, hair, skin and she's a really good dancer. There was a documentary in it before, it was TVN or Arirang I think. However it didnt happened due to Yuri's self doubt and confidence during that time and ask the management itself to put her in a group. She was training as a solo dancer before being put in a group, same as hyoyeon.

Taeyeon being a very sucessful solo artists. Sooyoung, Seohyun, Yuri and Yoona being successful actresses, Hyo as a successful dj and solo as well, Sunny masters of varieties and Tiffany as successful musical actress and now an actress. They still thriving, bringing the group name with pride. And the fact that they are more close now compared to OT9 days just shows they have move on and only jessica fans like you cant accept that they are still on top despite losing one member. Snsd being unbothered. And the show Jessica and Krystal being their last success? Lol. You are obviosly daydreaming. Their variety shows after 2014 are much bigger and memorable compared to that sister show. It's sad you need to come up with lies just to downgrade Snsd because you are a jessica bias. I have always wanted to know if 2nd gen actually got acting classes or variety classes cause they were a comedic gem. Variety shows made me stay in kpop, even if the music was my cup of tea, knowing them by variety made them relatable to me as a foreigner so I would often like a group for their members first instead of their music because i got to know then through thise shows

I don't know why people keep saying SNSD is lucky to have debuted as 2nd gen as if 2nd gen fans were so chill and kind. SNSD actually got into a lot of troubles in their early years and even pre-debut. They had scandals pre-debut, gained so many anti-fans and were already cancelled before their debut by crazy boy group fans. The scandal could be as stupid as Tiffany being a close friend with Jessica Ho (Jessi) whose public image was not viewed as favorable in the past. I don't think anyone else had the misfortune of being successfully boycotted with a Black Ocean by other fanclubs during Dream Concert. There is no such thing as lucky to have debuted as 2nd Gen. There will always be crazy anti-fans and haters in whatever era. They were also told off a lot by SM to "behave more lady-like" but they just continued to be themselves. The haters simply failed to get SNSD cancelled cause SONEs and the wiser portion of general public kept supporting them. That aside, thanks for collating the funny moments into this video! I don’t think lucky to debuted 2nd gen is so much about fans being less toxic, but more about less social media and internet access meant that fans couldn’t easily cancel and boycott groups/idols over anything they want like they can now. Anyone can make up a lie about an idol they don’t like and it spreads like wildfire. In 2nd gen, that just wouldn’t have been possible on the scale it is now. Tiktok and KZfaq shorts makers jump on every little rumour and create like 10 different videos about it before anyone can refute the claims, and then it’s in so many peoples heads that all the evidence in the world can’t take away the rumour or the stain on that group/idols reputation.

idk what the fan atmosphere was like during the 2nd gen but i dont think its about there being less haters back then & more so that companies/pr seems much stricter & controlled now. idols were allowed to be more free when showing their personalities in public. i.e the way idols nowadays seem afraid to be filmed at an award show so they come off robotic & cold

People may think that it was easier during 2nd generation but these girls faced so much hatred from boy group fans because at that time girl groups weren't that popular at all. They had to be sexualised or act overly cute to be appealable. Look at dating scandals nowadays and them compare it to the past taeyeon walked in the airport crying and apologizing to sones for dating, another man went up to stage and grapped her... There are so many things but these girls had each other back and fought till this day.

In all seriousness, 2:49 ... Hyoyeon was bullied a lot by toxic fans in the early days cuz of her nose shape. (istg, it was brought up in the comments of every single one of their mv's, regularly) She ended up getting plastic surgery for her nose. SM wasn't being subtle about not considering her as pretty as the others too. It was getting to the point where SM barely featured her, even her solo dance breakdowns, in MVs. So, I'm not surprised she got self-conscious about it... It was a horrible thing for that amazingly talented woman to be facing right after debut. She cold dance the roof off a stadium, she is seriously the best female dancer that SM has ever had, but everyone fixated on her nose, of all things!

Jessica was hated a lot as a Rookie. History twisted what the "Sica Effect" was. Jessica later claimed it was due to her stone face while she was sitting down. This was a lie. But if you watch early Star Golden Bell. They straight explain that the "Sica Effect" was born because when MCs and Staffs tried to talk to Jessica, she would shut them down rudely and cause a "cold atmosphere". In comparison to say Tiffany who was very friendly and handed out chocolates to everyone. SNSD spent a chunk of their Rookie years backing her up, calling it a misunderstanding, and rehabilitating Jessica's reputation. It worked.

Off topic, but does anyone happen to notice just how viral all these new SNSD compilation videos are getting? Like, I saw one that within a month is at almost 2 million views! And this one has over half a million in just over a week! (wouldn't be surprised if it reaches a mil in another week) It seems the Forever 1 era has created a long lasting effect where SNSD are getting renewed interest and lots of new fans long after the promos are over. As a fan for over a decade, this is so exciting and surreal for me! Looks like what Tiff said at the beginning of Forever 1 was true..."WE'RE NOT STOPPING!"

The "it's been 15years..." reached 1M within 2 weeks despite only having less than 2K subscribers (before) 😂., I used this figures in encouraging YT reactors to give their reactions and with the hope that they'll also check SNSD's "old" variety contents😉. Plus, I guess a lot of SONEs and casual KPop fans are just looking for unfiltered chaos (in a funny way 🤣). Of course there will still be close minded immature netizen that might consider SNSD's comedy as "rude".🤦♂️

Literally the only other K-pop group that I've seen do this on a global scale is BigBang. Just simply amazing. And so awesome seeing these people react to their old stuff too and becoming fans as well! Let's just ignore and report the trolls. Little do they know they're unintentionally spreading the word about SNSD out there and helping them get new fans as well. 😂😂😂

Time heals all wounds, people still support them to this day as they see no reason to doubt the girls. And for the ones that became skeptical, alot of them eventually forgave and moved on. Its hard for anyone to deeply hold on to a vendetta. The public are moved through actions, not words, and SNSD continues to be a positive force within the Entertainment Industry.

All the members are just having fun and being themselves which in some ways spreads laugher. hahaha coincidentally I just watched the clip of Sooyoung, Yuri and Yoona rapping to BigBang a few hours ago. _____ I'm actually a slightly new fan of SNSD (just over a year ago). I watched SNSD MVs way back IGAB era (I think) because of their music and visual🥵 😉, but just like any other Kpop groups I didn't bother knowing their individual names thinking all they do is act cute🤦♂. However, upon watching a random Running Man episode/clip where Taeyeon was covered with mud, I laughed a lot and become obsessed with their comedy 🤣. So yeah.. I'm a little late, but I'm now here and stanning because of SNSD's chaotic and fun personalities 😂.

Every single group i liked after SNSD, SJ and SHINee made watching their variety shows feel like a chore more than simple entertainment. Also there was a part in an interview where Jessica said that Zhou mi was "too girly" to be her type. That man's soul left his body on that moment.

Current idols have so many eyes following them, they are really scared to be cancelled, they say sorry to many (stupid) things, one of the stupidest thing i remember was Soobin said he doesn’t want to share who idols he close with, just in case their fans don’t like him to befriended their idol, even though we can see he’s a friendly introvert who love by many.

i remember back when i first got into kpop, i thought the fans were crazy with how obsessive and volatile they were, and tbf the fans themselves haven't necessarily changed that much, but with how much social media has grown and given fans a WAY louder voice, and companies seem to have become stricter with the idols as a result, looking back the fandom seemed a lot more chill then than it does now, we've gone from hyoyeon pretending to kiss key to jake looking at a wall so people don't think he's dating wonyoung lol its wild

I wish they would go back to being more normal. Everyone now is so cookie cutter, stiff with stiff fixed smiles 24/7. Very good compilation.. but too short! Actually you've included some clips I have never seen before so that was a lovely surprise for me. My first 'encounter' with anything 'SNSD' was accidental, and very 'late' (in January 2019, in fact) when on a whim I clicked on Sisters' Slam Dunk Series 1 and found myself wondering why Tiffany was absent so often. A few seconds on Google revealed she was an SNSD member, but that still didn't mean anything to me. I really liked the SSD format, and it was very entertaining, so a little more searching presented me with 'Girls Go To School' which I began watching before SSD began working on Lee Hyomin's girl-group 'dream'. I was immediately captivated by their playful personalities, but watching both series I also saw how much work was involved in forming a group and in performing, and of course the talent was obvious too. I've devoured as much as I could find about them ever since. For all the pressures of the industry and of fame, they really haven't changed. other than having become more skilled in the craft...but they've always been incredibly funny and spirited, no matter how relentless their schedules have been...and always thankful for their fans and for each other.. They are just such a joy, whether goofing around, or performing or just being generous and thoughtful souls. They are IMHO incomparable and deserving of the status "Legend". That last clip is of course from "Unstoppable Marriage"

I mean Soshi still got a looot of hate, especially Tiffany, and I believe even SM told them off to act more "like ladies" or whatever. The hate was just as bad back then, but it's 100 times more amplified now due to the plethora of social platforms to express it on (from Pannchoa to TikTok) and the rapidly rising competition. I do think older 4th gen groups are starting to become more unfiltered and cutthroat, like Gidle and Txt. Honestly I think this kind of unapologetic demeanor will make a comeback soon. I see younger idols getting madder and bolder as they grow older. This is a cruel, toxic industry and these are just kids. I hope their confidence and mental well being survives all this, and if they do, I cam definitely see them be more rebellious and break idol standards
