My Dad used to sing this on videoke and later in HS when I finally comprehend the message of this song. This is not just about Elvis Presley, or being a wedding fave song -- there's just something sad, lonely, desperate, hopeless and honest in it's simplicity that never fail to take out something from our hearts. I started learning violin just to play this whenever I miss my Dad.

I just woke up from a dream where this song was playing in the background. It was playing at a moment in time I had felt incredible joy playing with my 1 and a half year old niece. Her smile was so bright it made the sun pale in comparison. She My niece is now 12 years old and I never get those moments where we're just happy being with each other. I hold those moments in time where she was just a toddler with great joy watching her grow up smilling and laughing. I think those are the closest momnts to heaven on earth we can fel just playin with out babies forgetting iur prpblems and the worlds problems.
