Jim taking Katie on the booze cruise and then dumping her half way through it was an all time douchebag move.

I can’t deny that, but put yourself in Jim’s shoes. He just had received some devastating news, and his emotions were pretty raw. Katie didn’t help matters any by being confrontational. He was pushed into a corner.

I've been thinking of that. When Roy gets mad someone ends up getting hurt real bad. Maybe Roy ends up in jail, or even prison because of it. So he's probably found that if he starts wrecking things instead of people, it works out better for everyone involved....except for the owner of the wrecked stuff. His brother jumping in to help him wreck stuff was probably an act of compassion and loyalty. They'd probably been down that road a number of times before. Once he's blown off his steam, they can get away before the cops arrive. Only person who loses is the bartender/owner but who cares about him. Bars come and go but the important thing is Roys well-being.

the scene with Pam telling Roy about the kiss is one of the launching pads to why i think she's made a reputation of having the most unlikeable (yet relatable) character traits -- she finally builds her confidence which is amazing but as she evolves she disregards empathy (her confession was more about her getting it off her chest than concern for Roys feelings or even showing remorse for what happened) and when situations don't turn out for the better she never learns or really grows out of her stagnant ways. We've seen that every confidence boost she gets through the show is followed up with this expectation of the circumstances to change or adapt to her own will to some level which loops her into this tendency to constantly be a victim to her own failures. She has a complete lack of awareness or gauge of herself in reality and therefore never knows how to acknowledge and assess her own faults because of it, which can make it hard to watch

I honestly understand Jim dumping Katie right then and there. If you really inagine yourself in that scenario and you've just seen how blatantly incompatible you are with the person, it's best to just end it right away. To me she was so cringe and such a goofus, i couldn't bare to even spend the rest of the night with her

Jim and Pam were kinda rude to Katie. They made fun of her behind her back and to her face ig and she didn’t do anything wrong. It’s like when the awkward kids justify ridiculing the popular girl solely because she’s “popular”. I guess it make sense that Katie’s favorite movie is Legally Blonde.

People sympathizing with Roy is wild to me ?? He was a terrible boyfriend and quickly turned violent when he received news he didn’t like. He was hardly supportive of Pam and consistently neglected her. How can you justify that behavior ??
@sfappetrupavelandrei

Probably because Pam was cheating Roy. And yes, emotional cheating is still cheating.

@@sfappetrupavelandrei violence is never justified. Roy’s behaviour was unacceptable, I mean she was just confused about her feelings! When she told him about the kiss he tried to destroy a bar and to attack Jim! It doesn’t seem to me a normal reaction.

@@Claudia-ig3gryou are so right for this. people saying they “respect roy” are crazy. before pam confessed about the kiss, you could tell he was nervous he was going to be accused of cheating, PROBABLY BECAUSE HE CHEATED ON HER. and then when she was actually just honest with him? he almost hurt her. scary guy. very scary guy.
