The second visit to this walk and still it remains one of my favourites.
Parking up at Edale Village Hall car park, I headed towards Grindsbrook Clough through the very autumnal setting. The climb up Grindsbrook Clough makes this walk for me, particularly at this time of the year with all the water flowing fast down the clough. The views at the top are something to behold too.
From the top of the clough, it's a walk along the top of Kinder with fantastic views to the left before turning right and heading through the messy peat bogs and crossing/leaping several streams along the way. Tough going but worth it when you make it to the downfall. The views again are breath taking.
Then it's on to the trig point, the highest point on the walk and indeed the highest point of the Peak District National Park. Not much in the way of scenery here today though as I was engulfed in the clouds.
The cloud didn't last for long though as I dropped away from the trig point and onwards to Jacob's Ladder which drops down eventually leading back into Edale.
