I know it’s an extra step but I usually cut everything out of the big paper first and then laminate, it helps to fit more stuff on the laminating sheet to save on those and it also create a seal around it to keep it from separating after being cut. Love the decor and your classroom is coming out great!

Thank you! 🫶🏽 It’s definitely an extra step, but I’m sure it saves on the amount of lamination sheets. I went through 100 of them so fast.

Don't forget to make labels for all the different things in the room, so they see the printed words on items like the door, wall, table, desk, computer, etc., which helps as they become emergent readers and writers.

Yes, I did that while homeschooling my son. It was in English and Navajo (our Native language) I had so much much but it was expensive setting up his learning room. I had the bulletin boards and stuff

Your room is looking so beautiful! So much love put into it. I agree with what others said about putting the affirmation station on a door. If you have more than one you could choose a door that you will keep closed most of the time. I know I keep my main classroom door open a lot of the time. Good luck!

Thank you! I would love it to be on a door. I actually considered that but just don’t know which door would make the most sense. I plan to go back soon to ponder and see how I want things. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hello fellow Kindie teacher! Your room is looking great. I love your school’s wall colors compared to my beige ones lol. I would maybe put my anchor charts where you’re placing the bday bulletin and place the bday bulletin beneath the smart board. Either way, things are coming together fabulously ❤

Hey there. Thank you! I love the wall colors so much. They go perfect with the Sprinkle Kindness theme. I am considering putting the anchor charts there. I just worry that the kids may not be able to see them from their tables if they need to refer back to them.

Girl your room is coming along! Make sure to use the cabinet doors. I wonder if the different subject anchor charts would fit one in each shorter cabinet door. Just a suggestion. Keep at it, everything is looking great.

Thank you! I’ll definitely be using the cabinet doors for something. Not sure what yet. The problem with putting the anchor charts on the cabinets is that the students won’t always be able to see them. I want them to be able to reference them if they’re sitting at their tables.

For your anchor charts hang a string near the window where you can hang the anchor charts or string going cross a section of the classroom.

I like your posters on the green bulletin board. Maybe you can put the posters for the calm corner underneath the board on the wall? Just a suggestion! Your room is looking good!

Calming posters are good, but only suggestion would be instead of completely changing them....just add visuals to each....remember, they are kinder babies.

Everything is looking so great! It’s so inviting and warm!! The kids are going to love it! Is there room to put the birthdays on the cabinet doors (next to where you’ll put the shapes), so you can use the other space for anchor charts? Praying for you during this new season!

Whenever i made anything for my classroom I backed it with black cardstock. It makes it pop and anchors it really nicely with a black border around it - just an idea

Perhaps you could use the long bulletin board for the anchor charts and put the birthdays on the smaller cabinet doors? You could also move the affirmations to the small space to the right of the current location.

I was going to suggest the same thing. That long bulletin board is great prime real estate for anchor charts! I love how clean and colorful everything is!

I agree! I will use the birthday chart that came with the collection and maybe put it next to the affirmation station. The affirmation station will have to be moved over some. The long bulletin is perfect for anchor charts and learning objectives. Edit: the only thing I worry about is the kids not being able to see the anchor charts since they’ll be all the way over by the door and not in front of them.

Looking great! Affirmation Station could go on the back of the door if that is not being used for any thing. Are you planning on having a visual schedule?

Thank you! I considered that as well. Which door were you thinking? Back door or door leading to the bathrooms? I do plan to have a visual schedule. I’m just waiting until we get our schedules, so I’ll know what all to include.

It's looking good. I would find a different place for your affirmation station because it's to small for that wall.

Thank you 🫶🏽 I’m thinking if they can see the alphabet and number cards, they should be able to see the number line. It’s not too far away from those.
