Same because I'm obsessed with things being small (except fonts, my aging eyes don't appreciate tiny fonts). Gifted my PW to my partner. Next to each other I do get screen envy of the PW but on it's own the basic is more than sufficient.

you can get the ads off for free if you want! just nicely ask a customer service person and they usually say yes

I know how much you love your paperwhite, so the kindle basic must be pretty amazing if you’re wondering if it’s your new favorite! 😂🎉❤

It's true! I love them both for different reasons... they're both exactly what I need them for in certain situations. I have a more in-depth comparison video coming out soon!!! I also hear that more kindles are coming out in 2025 so that'll be exciting to see what features they have!

If you wanna get rid of the ads try calling customer service and requesting it. I did that and they did not charge me the $20 :)

Oooh I might have to try! I messaged them and they were not having any of it, so maybe calling is the key! I kind of like the ads sometimes… but others it’s annoying if I want to show the covers easily in vlogs!

@@clee028- I will say I told them I wear glasses (which I do) & the ads were confusing me plus I was a kindle unlimited user and I just didn’t need or want the ads😊

I told them I was broke after buying loads of kindle content, and has ad free on my other model. Ads gone, no quibbles

It doesn’t ruin it internally, I’ve just tried some that give off a glare, so if I did one again I’d find a matte one!
