Loved the video; many thanks! I have been using a Kindle Paperwhite for about 8 years now. I got a newer Paperwhite last year and have just ordered the Scribe on Prime Day in Europe.

Saw the sale on Amazon Prime Day, but alas passed on the Scribe. As a therapist, I take extensive notes. Then I need access to them on various devices via Google or OneNote sync. Got spooked about being limited to Kindle ecosystem or that awkward emailing of notes to self. But great vid!!!!

Thanks! Yes, I too wish it had access to one of the cloud services. When you email a notebook it is pretty easy to do. I'd love to see Apple of and Android tablet just like this Kindle, but with apps allowing for access to all the ereader services.

I've had my Scribe for almost a year and love it very much. The battery life is good and I have only had to change the pen tip once so far. I heard that Amazon may be releasing a color version of the Scribe in 2025. Sure hope they do. Happy reading!

I've heard that as well (Color Scribe). It all depends on price and quality of the display for me.

I’ve been wanting one for the longest and saw the sale and I got excited until I saw that the 64GB model was the only one excluded from being discounted. Kinda sucks that Amazon would pull that. And the only reason why I want the 64GB model is because not only do I read a lot of books, but I also wanted to download all of my manga volumes as well. And of course, to write up my drafts since I’m also an aspiring author. I just never want to have to worry about running out of storage with it being a device for books, manga reading, and note-taking all-in-one. Ugh. Maybe I’ll have better luck on Prime Day.

Yeah, I'd check it out on Prime Day. I really do like mine quite a bit. If this one goes bad, I would buy another. Unfortunately they don't make these with a slot for a SD card to expand the storage.

Thanks for the review! Videos like this really make buying decisions so much more informed. One question: can you highlight the text directly with the pen? Meaning, can you just select text without the "pop-up" box coming up? I tend to highlight text a lot (especially while reading Cormac McCarthy), and just swiping with the pen would come in handy. I also really like the title of your channel. Cheers!

Hello! Thanks, I did forget to mention the highlighting. YES, you can highlight the text. I highlight quite a bit myself and it even tells you how many other people have highlighted parts of the text. Amazon tends to put the Scribe on sale every few months so keep an eye out.

I love the scribe and the Premium pen. I feel like I’m saving my nibs since I don’t have to use the nibs to erase as well.

I bought an extra pack of nibs as I wasn't sure how long they would last. I'm on my second nib after a year of use. LOL

@@NNI4262 I actually used the basic pen when I first got the Scribe, then got the Premium pen for a really good deal. It definitely wears slower (I assume because of the eraser end)

That eraser end was the reason I upgraded. Love it.

Oh, yes...I have two coworkers that are artists and they both use IPad Pros. The Scribe is nowhere near what an artist would need (imho). It's great for reading and using for work/ taking notes.

Hi! No problem, I still have it and I mainly use it for work. It does have some scratches from general use, but other than that it's been working well. Keyboard, screen and trackpad are all good. I am so tempted to get one of the new AI machines, but I have not ordered one yet.
