I’m still not sure which switches I should go for. I was thinking about bobas, but Heard- there’s no pre travel. So maybe I’ll go for either salmons or penguins.

Nice review Kile! I like my penguins though a touch scratchy, even after gs1 lube. Maybe I need to relube...? Just got my salmons and really like them and can't wait to get huskies! Going to lube salmons soon! 👍

@@Bruno-cb5gk I don't have it in front of me, nor have I used them in a build yet, but from what I remember it's short pretravel with a pretty large bump (almost boba u4t large) and rounded.

Which would you say you like best for typing? Debating the salmon or penguins, but open to other suggestions. I just got the boba U4Tx and they’re amazing and want more tactiles for my other boards for work lol

Any switch nerds able to help me out? I have the unlubed penguins that i lubed(poorly) and am in the need of new switches for a different keeb. I was going to get the factory lubed Penguins, but they are out of stock. I was curious how similar the factory lubed salmons are, or if there is something that is super similar to the penguins you can just use without having to self lube

Salmons are better for gaming imo because of the spring weight and the lightness in the tactile bump

@@PatsliTV yeah but the penguins you can get in a heavier spring weight i think too, but mostly the tactility of the penguin switches are a bit stronger than the salmons If you prefer a stronger tactile switch, get the penguin, if you want something thats a bit more than the MX Brown but less than a penguin then the salmon is the way to go

Just got some 🥝’s and dragonfruit 🍻🦾 what’s a good kb to get to practice soldering and/or some for modifying to resale? Im starting out cleaning and modifying keyboards, I started with switches and hot swap kbs. Used to restore and detail ‘one of’ type cars like the McLaren 720s Nerello edition and a few others. So I’m looking to get more serious into the hobby outside of my current web designing job since I use this tool every day 6-10 hrs a day Subbed to your twitch the other night 👍✅ Great video, btw
