The reason for the live blade has nothing to do with the bite handle. The schrade manillia folder is double edge with the latch on the opposite side. I'm guessing it has to do with laws and the fact it's a auto/balisong at the same time.

Pakistan has balisongs with the normally safe handle, as the bite handle, all it takes is a bit of learning and all you need to de is get used to it, it isn’t that big of a deal

6:37 you show exactly why this will NEVER be a live blade or they would get lawsuits like crazy. If you were messing around and fired a blade closed with your finger in there it could chop straight to the bone. No knife manufacturer will ever get away with a knife that can fire closed like that. Firing open is much safer even if your finger is in the way but firing closed puts your finger in a literal guilloine.

I've thought about making an automatic balisong before ... But , I'm poor , and have no means of manufacturing such a thing . I've thought about the concept, and tried to build one out of scrap materials , but I just couldn't manage to get it to working . I've also thought about a balisong that is also an OTF automatic , with tracks running through the handles , but again , I can't really manufacture stuff , because I'm just a 15 year old nobody , that has some cool ideas .

I wouldnt spend the money, id rather wait for the live blade version, because if you aak me the tools are useless, and id rather practice with a cheap trainer, until im ready for a real bali, in wich case i might get the live blade version.

If they made a non auto version, I'd consider it. Just seems really gimmicky. And affordable ball bearing bali trainer would sell well.

The reason why it cant be a live blade is because it's made overseas and Congress in it's infinite wisdom made the sale of new imported balisongs illegal years ago. Making Balisongs extra expensive has saved countless miillions from a life of crime and delinquency that balisongs would draw people towards.

It's a kids tool but for grown ups!... Besides it looking cool I would have no use for it.

Shitty shitty brand judging from that knife, and it was 220$. Go Reate, Kizer or whatever but stay away from AC.
